All fits into place, hassle was pi**ed at me cos he was trying to make money from dinars too, have a read of one of his posts on iraqi dinars!! Nice one hassle, you should be banned from this forum for trying to bring me down when all along you were pi**ed off with me cos I posted after you on that particular thread on iraqi dinars. Disgraceful actions, making me out to sound so bad for a referral link.

Do hope we meet in Portugal next year hassle.

After the apparently unavoidable but still regretful misunderstandings and accusations, this is an attemtp to redirect this interesting thread .

Imho you are mixing up two different topics.

    1. Do your feel responsable and/or solidary with those who joined after you recommended a program (actual subject of discussion)

There have been said many interesting things on both sides.
Personally, I guess, my reason says I am not responsible (because I explicitely tell everyone about the risks,... and I haven't one referral... I seem to be surrounded by intelligent, critical friends & family ... sorry... I'm drifting off) while my heart says I still partly am (maybe not responsible, but still keen on solidarity and willing to pay for that) to at least some extent... (depending on how much we've lost/earned all together and what we should have to sacrifice for this gesture).
So... probably I'll only know how solidary I'll act when such a situation actually occurs.

    2. The reward you get when you actually bring someone to a program and register this member as your 'downline' (actual topic title).

This was the original referral issue, isn't it? And... imho it has not really anything to do with the former. Because we (at least those who don't make a living from bringing members in) will still be recommending programs to those that bear our sympathy and/or love, referral option or not. Maybe it doesn't matter if the referral system exists or not but how we manage it.

So maybe we should rephrase this question: (to what extent)
    - is this system beneficial to the company/program?
    - does it encourage us to convince others to join more easily (and less responsably)?
    - what do we do with the referrals?

I consider the latter an interesting (little) side issue too: has anyone here ever agreed with his/her downline(s) to share the profit? I understand that this is less likely when you offer a service to them, keep them informed,...
But... if you don't... when there's nothing you have to do (or do) except bringing them in... do you share your profit 50/50 with your referral?

In Ireland a lot of people reffered people into PIPS. I don't know what the repurcussions will be, but lots of legal actions have been started by people who feel that they were short-changed. I suppose in the HYIP world people know the risks. However, in the case of people who were not properly informed of all the risks, and referees who did not cover themselves with appropriate paper-work. well, I don't know. If PIPS comes back it will all pass anyway..
    Viva PIPS (I hope)
