Thread: Help Me Buy/Help Me Build

I ordered my parts for a new PC today and got the price-dropped-Quad.......now Operating System???

I saw in another post where you all were saying Vista 64 is better than XP 64 for Mulit-Processor Chips.

I thought I might just run XP Pro for now until I decided to go Vista 64...then set it up to dual boot. If I loaded XP Pro...does it just run with one or two processors....or does it depend on the application software you are running?

I have XP-Pro....XP-64.....Vista32, but don't have Vista 64...yet.

I am sort of confused on this topic...can you tell.

Not used Vista yet properly, but if you go 32-bit there's no upgrade to 64-bit. It's a wipe and re-install job.
