I have been making a living only off hyip for the past 2 years to answer the original question on this thread. Sometimes it is tight when programs like PIPS and YMMSS stop paying or slow down markedly. It is a game of always having an exit strategy to pull profits so you don't lose on any one program and then always having another program or more than one going to pick up the slack when the current ones stop paying or slow down. You have to have a strategy for each program you enter so that you make an income stream out of it as soon as possible. Then you just hope it lasts as long as possible and start building another one. Works for me.

Since the beginning of 2004 I have invested in: YMMSS, PIPS, FLO, Reality Millions, Fastmarket and others.

I keep away from the scams and ponzis (over 2-3% per day falsely promised) and sign up only with programs that have been paying steadily for months or years already as it is a safer bet. There is no such thing as no risk, but you reduce it as much as possible with your DD.

Oh, by the way, I tried forex in 2003 with REFCOFX and FXCM and lost a chunk of money so never went back to that yet. I managed to make 105 out of 110 trades profitable on a virtual account (using no stop losses at all) and went from $50K-$160K (paper money) in 3 months, but on my real accounts, mini accounts, I made some decent money but lost more than I made and after losing a few thousand (about 5-6 margin calls) I had to quit as I was broke. After that I got into hyip and this has worked a lot better for me.

In forex: right now I just let FASTMARKET do it for me (they trade forex) as they seem to know what they are doing and I make money every single day with minimal risk, actually no risk as I am already in profit. You can't get any better than that.

I've also now started investing in real estate to get something more solid under my belt and diversify a bit more.

On the FXCM contest is very common to see people achieven even 600-800 a month, but i can tell you that that is pure luck, if you have the records of the winners you can see that none of those poeple who won those amounts ever repeat even a 5th place, not one of them and i have been whatching this contest for 2 years. Each time or every month that i see those incredibles results i see totally diferent names, those results are not posible for the long run, not on a constant basis, that it is called gambling, and those who wins 500% in one month will loss 100% of the account in couple of days, as i said before Forex trading should be a long term investment and not an easy get rich scheme, in this case it is worst than a HYIP because it is a legal investment but a secure way to loss your money.

The reason why a person that wins the contest does not make it back and they lose substantially the next month:

In competing for a contest, they are willing to take bigger and bolder risks. Risks they would not normally take.

If FXCM really wanted to run a legitimate contest, they would track contestants month by month to see who made the highest consistent returns month after month, either averaging or adding them up to pick the best trader.

The contest is designed to have a different gambler win each month with huge returns. It is designed with one purpose in mind, to draw in the nieve to open an account with the belief that they can eventually achieve these astronomical numbers. If they were interested in running a real contest, like I said they would take previous results into consideration.

FF:
lowest risk programs with full disclosure. There are not a lot of programs here, about 7, because there are not a lot of low risk programs out there that have proven themselves with time or have released details on who they are and what they do. Membership is free and you can join any of the funds for $50 using E-Gold.
After nearly 2 years of operation, FF has only recorded one losing month in one program. There is also a reserve fund to mitigate against losses should problems arise with any of the 7 programs.

The site is obviously under construction. The software is a lot further developed and going out to alpha group in the next couple of weeks. I am also looking for a limited number of beta testers (50-100), who will get free use of the system for at least a month.

I think forex trading is better then hyip. We can earn lot of money from forex because I think Forex is a money making machine.
