    RIPPLE: MONDAY DEADLINE Date : 6th February, 2009


    On Monday we are closing the Ripple membership to new members.

    The response has been fantastic, but Ripple has almost completed its initial goal. The Ripple Membership pack (see the LOG-OUT page) will be taken offline during Monday.

    No, it's OK. If we have acknowledged your application form,your membership will still be allowed once payment is possible (PayPal, credit card, debit card, Alert Pay etc). We will continue to update you by email about progress fixing the payment solution.

    In the coming week the population of me2everyone will reach 100,000. This will trigger a few changes:

    1. The allocated shares for all NEW members is reduced to 250 each
    2. The allocated shares for everyone you recommend is reduced to 500 each
    3. These levels will stay in place until the population reaches 300,000

    4. With the advent of the Relink fix, white-screen fix, phantom-member fix and the website email fix we are almost ready for the 10 Million Share Chase.

    Let me explain this.

    When we launched me2everyone, we said that: “The member who recommends the most members will be allocated a bonus of 10,000,000 shares.” The idea was to create excitement and test a few ideas. Well, the idea has been improved. When the membership reaches 500,000 people we will make the 250 top recruiters very, very happy.

    There will be rewards from 1,000 shares to the 10,000,000 top prize. We will create a leader board soon, but so you know, you need 35 members to reach 250th place. The whole chases starts from the 9th January 2009 and so everyone is already involved.

    Think it’s too late to get started? Well, two of the current top 10 joined me2everyone in the last 10 days. Think it’s unfair because you don’t know so many people? Don’t worry.     WHITE SCREEN OF DEATH

    Date : 11th February, 2009


    Anyone logging into the website in the past 10 days would have been frustrated by a white screen instead of our web pages. We had many members from the tech arena suggesting everything from a web-wide Java problem to server and bandwidth issues.

    For the past 48 hours our engineers have been examining the problem in close detail. The result has been a reworking of the code, which for now seems to have cured the problem.

    This version of the website needs to perform a lot harder than anyone forecast. Let's face it, our target membership for 9th March 2009 was 30,000 people. That's what we designed to. Look at the population now :) I think we are going to smash that target LOL


    OTHER FIXES

    We have an expression in the UK. You wait 30 minutes for a bus then 7 arrive at once. Well the same appears true for the fixes.

    PASSWORDS AND PHANTOM MEMBERS

    There are 1400 duplicated accounts in the system. These are being deleted today. Then emails are going to be sent to anyone who did not verify their email address (about 700 members). They will need to click a link, which should restore their access.

    IF ANY OF YOUR GROUP HAS A PASSWORD ISSUE, PLEASE LET THEM KNOW AN EMAIL IS BEING SENT TO THEM.



    RELINK MEMBERS

    A new sign-in procedure has been created. It gives members a one-time option to change their recommender ID (the person who introduced them). When a member signs in they will be asked to confirm their Recommenders ID and name. SO, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ANYONE WHO SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO YOU KNOWS YOUR ID NUMBER.

    The code will be uploaded later today. Members only see the new sign-in page once but they are asked to confirm the information 3 times. When they accept, they are locked to the member they selected. It can't be changed.

    Some people will gain members, some will lose members. NO-ONE will lose any bonus shares...


    EMAIL SYSTEM

    We have had some email issues with the site. We will be running tests for the next 2 days as we seek to repair the problem (caused when we moved servers).


    NEW SITE

    Once all these fixes are completed, the new website will begin to appear. A little delayed, but it's more important for the engine to work, than for the site to look pretty.

    THE SWAN

    Date : 13th February, 2009

    A few people are worried that we've promised the BETA version, but nothing has happened. Well, once upon a time a lady called Jenny Butler said:

    "The company is like a swan. All graceful a serene on the surface, but paddling like mad underneath"

    EMAIL SERVER

    We decided that the most important aspect was to fix errors and improve the background admin first. Then, when we introduce the new features they are going to work so much better. To give you a better example, yesterday we bought another server - one dedicated to sending bulk emails to our members. It's being configured now and once live, we will be able to email a newsletter to every member once a week.

    IMPROVED SUPPORT

    We have also decided to improve the customer care feature by creating a Ticket-based system. This means that anyone with the right admin clearance can read the problem history and answer accordingly. Expect this in a few weeks.

    CODING QUALITY

    We are retaining a few web-based experts in the realms of PHP programming and website security. This will give us a new UK-based quality control procedure, ensuring that any code is cleaned up before it’s published. This reduces errors and problems down the line.
