Thread: EKG Value Units Volt vs mV

yesterday I successfully wrote my first heartbeat with my eHealth module on a raspberry pi 3:
I followed your instructions to start, but I am now having a simple question:

The input value is a 12 bit unsigned integer (values 0-4095).
In your example you map this value down to a float on a range from 1.0 to 5.0 and you tell us it resembles Volts.

In my knowledge an EKG signal is usually measured in mV (milli Volts), see Wikipedia:
ECG voltages measured across the body are on the order of hundreds of microvolts up to 1 millivolt (the small square on a standard ECG is 100 microvolts).

Hi, I can tell you that raspberry pi 3 will not give you accurate information about your heartbeat. If you want to find out how your heart really beats, then come to the doctor and do tests and examinations there, and not with the help of some applications. I can tell you this because I've been working as an EKG Technician for about a year now, and most people get scared when they find out the real results of their heartbeat. But unfortunately, more and more heart patients have been suffering lately, apparently because of these experiences. You won't believe it, but I went to EKG Technician because I found out that California EKG Technicians make $76,000 a year. Still, I really liked this job, which is what I will do until retirement.
