Default How long before touring after knee replacement

After 40 years of walking around with no meniscus and five operations it looks like I finally have to replace the knee. I can no longer ride without pain. If you have had a knee replaced how long before you were able to tour again. Any problems riding while strengthening the leg afterwards or on your first tour?

I had knee surgery years ago, still, I suffer from pain from time to time. Besides, I became weather-sensitive and my knee hurts when the weather is changing.

After the knee replacement, you need to wait at least a year to go on tour. After such operations, there is a high probability of remaining permanently disabled.
Many athletes cannot accept the idea that they will have to forget about training for a year or more, and they decide to train (after about three months). They don't think about how dangerous it is. After all, there were many cases when athletes became permanently disabled because of such impatience. For example, I once had a shin injury, and after surgery, I used athletic tape. I read on dunbarmedical.com that with the help of this tape, you can quickly restore the joint. After four and a half months, I started to return to the sport (although it is not the most severe injury).
