Default Your bird with other Pets

Hey, guys! I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, but I was curious about how to share your home with your favorite bird and your other pets.

I recently became the proud owner of a 9 - week-old boomer parrot (gender unknown). In recent weeks, our relationship has been developing well, we are building a great routine together, and he often makes it very clear to me that he would like to get in and out of his cage. Most of the time, his cage is open, and he walks back and forth from his perch and sits on my hand.

Enter the rest of the team, two mastiffs (my partners) and three ferrets. And, of course, I have my own daily routine, when each of the members of my fluffy house goes out so that everyone is loved and enriched.

When the dogs are inside (or the ferrets are out of their run) I'm glad that Boomer is staying in his closed cage in a safe place where we can still chat. But he began to call and find a voice, and the dogs became curious. And the loud knock of the mastiff on the door of his cage is the last thing I would like. So when I'm not with them, he goes to a separate closed room ... one. Of course, only a few hours a day. But when he is so eager to be a part of everything, it seems cruel.

Does anyone release their dogs and birds at the same time in their home? Although he sits on a perch, he loves to explore, and I'm terribly afraid that he will fly off my chest and land too close to a sleeping dog and either get scared for the last time in his life, or just become a dog snack.

Does anyone have any tips on how they juggle predators around their birds?
How do I introduce dogs to the idea of a cage in general? They really leave the ferret alone (but ferrets are much better on their feet).

(I would like to add that he is a lonely bird, but I am at home almost all the time, since I have a disability, and spend most of the day with me anyway.)

My friend has two parrots, a dog, and three cats. The cats seem totally uninterested in the two birds. It's the dog that would sometimes be curious to "talk" to them, but mostly it's in a really cute and playful way. I find it really funny since the dog is a ginormous Newfoundland! Yet, all of them are friendly, sharing the same room, and all getting a lot of attention from all the family members. It's just a happy family. I guess it really depends on the vibes that were initially created... If you felt from the start that the bird might get a bit scared or stressed, maybe it's better to postpone their staying in the same room, or avoid it altogether. You know, I have also read an article on "can birds get ADHD" and apparently that might be a thing.
