Owen,
how careful did you actually weigh those words, writing? I hope this is not your general way of approaching a subject. As I read your post receiving that sum from Bryan is the same as being 'in the know' (whatever that may mean)? Well... hell of a jump you make there... To me, of course without your insider knowledge, I must admit, this tastes awful as it sows hate and suspicion on highly disputable grounds.
Please proove me wrong,
Hasse

nej,
with all respect...
I feel like some people are loosing their logical & analytical reasoning here along with their loss of funds.
For example, Yogi rightfully points out that it is in no way sure Tom knew the nature of his money source (did you when you invested or - if you were lucky - withdrew?).
I realise this is an easy 'goal' to gain support for of the masses... but these are easily (mis)guided along... It might even work and provide some members some return... but I guess it'll be from the bible's ashes... as the masses provide a sure momentum for change... but besides a strong too often a blind force too... resulting in whole history books of damage.
Frustration and anger for loosing your money are fully understandable... and a process requiring full support... but it is in no way an excuse for embarking on a witch hunt... I see no wisdom in agreeing with them...
I hope you agree,
Take care,

Hasse - I feel you may not have read my book. Apart from having details of the payments made out of the Pips account to Broadbridge, I also quote a comment he made to Warren Webb (and I have no reason not to believe this) that now that Pips was gone, he would no longer have to pay them back!

Hi Hasse,
We normally agree on things and I see your points but I'll have to disagree with you in this case.
Have a read of Owens book to see the truth behind it all.
Cheers,

Dreamer!
If it was part of PIPS, how would you think that PIPS would get the money back from The Kids Bible?...especially if PIPs is already dead and proves to be a scam!
I belive that even an administrator of a scam would not be able to claim back the money. But again, it depends on how the commercial contract between PIPS and Tom was structured. Even if Tom got USD 1.5 mill in the first place, my guess (from creating multimedia content) is that PIPS had committed and owed Tom much more money to complete the DVD series. If PIPS failed to fulfill its obligations, my next guess is that Tom could easily walk away from a broken contract!
I would rather see the contract than speculate, but I would be surprised if the The Kids Bible ever become an issue in the court!

Hi Hine
I do believe you are very much on the right track.IMHO (for what its worth) believe that the funding was not in place to continue the "project".It may be that in effect PIPS defaulted on its obligation to finance new episodes. There may have been a contract that meant the kids Bible reverted to Tom in such an event.
Pips has lost out either way and only the recievers (if applicable) will know if there is a chance of recovery.I doubt it.
Speculation I know, but maybe near the truth.

I'm inclined to agree - the only doubt in my mind being that Broadbridge was touted as being a principal of Pips and thus must (or perhaps should) have been aware of what was going on which, to my mind, puts his integrity at question.
The Bible project was sold to Pips members as being part of their investment package and should have some relevance in any investigation into company affairs.

The only reason I invested (wasted my money) in Pips is that I thought that the Bible program would be a great money maker. It was being sold a a part of Pips and I bought into Pips with that idea.
I would love to know the actual legal side to this question.
