How's that for a provocative title for a thread?!
Regardless of where your mind(s) may have gone, my question is concerning the size of the dinar. Most of the denominations being sold are the very largest ones; primarily the 10K and 25K notes. Being a normal working class stiff here in the States, I'm lucky if I handle any $100 bills in a year. I'd fall over if I ever get to handle a 1K-US bill or a 10K-US (if they still make them). Being that the average Iraqi citizen will only ever see the lower denominations of the Dinar, I'm wondering if there will be a difference in the exchange rates and/or demand for the higher bills and the lower ones?
I'm just curious what your thoughts are on this one, Adster, Mike and/or anyone. I know that the smaller denominations cost more but I'm sure a part of that is the extra weight (more bills for an equivalent monetary amount) and additional handling. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Everwiser

Does size matter?
Mrs Adster would say so, quite happy with 'my size', LOL.
Serious, doesn't matter. I have a spread of 25s, 10s and 5s. We'll be able to exchange them all when the time is right. They charge more for smaller denoms cos of weight, packaging and postage.Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Iraqi Investments
Exactly,
It won't make any difference at all, money is money, and it will have the same value regardless of size of notes you hold. The smaller notes are far and few between due to the fact they have now put them into full circulation, as the US military now pays its vendors in dinar, so of course, the small notes are the most circulated, so that leaves the $10K and $25K for those outsiders who are investing. US use to have larger notes too, but they have not been printed in 40 years, so I suspect the larger notes will also simply be phased out as value increases and the smaller notes become mainstream.
Good luck to all, Mike
