Does size matter? (Dinar size that is...)
How's that for a provocative title for a thread?!
Regardless of where your mind(s) may have gone, my question is concerning the size of the dinar. Most of the denominations being sold are the very largest ones; primarily the 10K and 25K notes. Being a normal working class stiff here in the States, I'm lucky if I handle any $100 bills in a year. I'd fall over if I ever get to handle a 1K-US bill or a 10K-US (if they still make them). Being that the average Iraqi citizen will only ever see the lower denominations of the Dinar, I'm wondering if there will be a difference in the exchange rates and/or demand for the higher bills and the lower ones?
I'm just curious what your thoughts are on this one, Adster, Mike and/or anyone. I know that the smaller denominations cost more but I'm sure a part of that is the extra weight (more bills for an equivalent monetary amount) and additional handling. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
