Lynn, I dont want you stomping into the new year feeling depressed.
I was referring, not to the programme, but the security of e-currency accounts.
Many good, and bad opps have suffered some hacking attempts as have most
normal users, even though we present as professionally as possible, some form
of safeguarding our precious dollars and their flow thro cyberspace.
Since account Nos are part and parcel on any website where payment is
required, they just seem more vunerable....but certainly are not un-professional
    mate.
As far as pension plans go, I have learnt a thing or two thanks to you guys, but
since I am already committed, I can only follow the flow untill closure.
Given that information at the beginning, I may still have taken a risk with one
of them at least since the whole concept seems to be unexplored and unexplained
in layman terms. Especially the length of time some of these pension plans have
stayed around on the net, since most scam sites are gone within a few months.
Yep I know there are exceptions, but GPP has been with us for over 2 years. Long
enough for any serious dd to expose the people behind it. No one seems to have
    done that. Why?
Whatever, I shall never join another one, unless I do receive a payment from one
    of the current ones....if I,m lucky :)
    All ther best
    paddy

Paddy: I appreciate your concern, but I am not depressed. I understand what you are saying, but one point I have failed to make regarding the comment about GPP being hacked. It is one thing to be hacked from outside, but this from all appearances was done from within. They changed their script to re-direct funds to another c-gold account. This is what I was referencing in my comments regarding their lack of professionalism. You put security in place to prevent this from happening. If they compromised this, one has to wonder what else they have compromised. What was even more concerning was GPP was implying it was c-gold's fault, not theirs. This to me was also non-professional, as you don't make accusations until you have all the facts, and then only report facts. You don't have to say you're sorry if you wait to put your brain in gear before putting your mouth in motion. It would have been much better for them to say we don't know what happened, but we are working to find out. Once we know we will update you. Far more credibility that way, than the way they did this. Besides, my pointing this out drives chicosan nuts.LOL.

I do appreciate your comments, and your concern. Wishing you all the very best for 2008. Hope it is a fantastic year for you and yours.

Paddyfield makes a very valid point in that many of these Reverse Pension Plans have been around for some time with no adverse reaction from the authorities. This has undoubtedly encouraged many to invest.
However, I think there is a fairly simple explanation for their longevity, which is that most individuals, even those who have purchased multiple policies, will lose little even if the scheme fails and thus will have little incentive to take action.
Law enforcement and regulatory authorities are reactive, not proactive, and seldom bother with scams that are not brought to their attention.
Scamming people in increments of $50 or so a time is relatively trouble free. Try it for $50,000 and you may be in some difficulty.
There is one point that strike me concerning a great many of these internet 'opportunities.'
Why would any legitimate company or business wish to use one of these hokey (and expensive) payment processors in preference to a regular bank?

and then there's Solid Investment... They were around for awhile, weren't they? Anyhow, they did charge more than $50, too. Did they end up being scammers?

U R very much welcome "Ajj" as as you can witness yourself, we all have friends that stay friendly and yet differ...thank goodness we do for that but having animosity with each other???... Only those that steps out of context and perspectives and refuse to see a viable option about potential ambiguity with programs are usually a little more aggressive in their tones and can be a wreck to their own personalities!!!

I have very good friends too in GPP...take my good ole mate Paddy himself...heehee... well, I feel he is gradually realizing but we DON'T have o push them over to come out...it is precisely those that that are lurking innocently (we were once in their shoes too and wasn't warned adequately...hmmm) to stay away from such convincing scammers that paints the sky blue... how can one dispute that to be otherwise???

Lets make more friends, help each other with prevention and learn from good tips and cautious advises that knew and researched deeper where we only can benefit from.... remember...if you will fall for Pigs that Fly...do YOU in this age & time???

    Happy New Year EVERYONE....
its almost time to get the two Champagne bottles out for company are arriving soon to cock them bottles!!!

my New Year's resolution is to improve and reduce both my waist and handicap at the Greens!!!

    Good "fore" ya Yogi!

If you don't mind my asking, Who are the individuals in the yellow pull-overs and
what is the white head dress on some of them for?
I'm guessing that it is cold and they are trying to warm their ears?
Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can't change. Kiss slowly, play hard, forgive quickly, take chances, give everything, never go to sleep angry and have no regrets. Life is too short to be anything but happy.

Good guess, but how do you explain the one on the green in shorts, and both wearing short sleeves? I think it is for shading from the sun to keep from being sunburned. But YB, do tell so we aren't in the dark. By the way, which one is you?

Happy New Year guys... *burp* and quite abit too...

The location is only getting to be hotter and far from cold ...hehee and yes, they are shades for their faces as these "lady caddies" do get exposed most of the time driving about the buggy for us... excellent ain't it?

On this golf course, the Black Mountain GC, its cheaper to hire them and the buggy then steer yourself... so we can be better focused on our strokes.

In the not too distant foreground with the mountains behind, you can see some construction now underway...my villa is among them with an Australian pool to go with. Its in an excellent spot I chose mine where either guest rooms face the mountain range and the other villas protect our back garden from stray balls should Tiger Woods start going astray with his strokes...LoL.

Temps are anywhere around 29 degrees Celsius then.. but being sheltered by the magnificent range from the cold draft from the Andaman Sea... it sort of stabilizes the climate making BMGC an excellent location ...another reason why it was selected to host the prestigious Asian PGA in March this year.

I'm behind the camera actually and the two chaps there are Swedish. The colors these lady caddies are with is also to differentiate them from the nearby golf courses for each has a different color.
its nice to have a lady Caddy at the wheels....and disappearing into the far fairways at times...heheh...

Alright, gdnite and its time to hit the sack... we had too much darn fireworks by us...!!!
