It's not a short term RV. It's actually a reestablishment of previous levels. The rate will be high at first and then level off at a rate established by the economy and trade.
There has been tons of research done by current and previous members of this and other sites. Check the archives and read about the previous rates of the dinar and the steps that Iraq has taken in the last year or so..
Larry Nichols has provided alot of interesting information. Some believeable and some not so much but WE ALL need to do our own evaluation of the information that has been provided to us, over the years.
Iraq would not have spent the time and money to have new currency printed only to have the paper it's printed on worth more than the value.
Patience!

I think the problem with Larry N is that a lot of folks that truly believe in overnite miracles cling to every word and will fight to the death that it is gospel.. I have said for some time now, that we must have a HCL in place, security ( it is getting better every day), and oil must begin to flow. Then the Dinar can begin to grow in value. Mine are resting in a safe deposit box thank you, sound asleep till Daddy wakes them for exchange... We are much better off than a year ago (IMO) but a lot left to do. Blessings all..

Hmmmmmmmmmm?
Seems to me I have heard talk over the years about a reval associated with the enactment of the retirement law.
Was not the passage of this law published in the Gazette Oct 7th? If so, do they not have until Nov 6th to enact before it automatically becomes law?
Did not the GoI state their intentions to enact this law before the end of Oct?
If they enact the law doesn't the GoI have to pay millions of pensioners back pay for several years? If they do not attach a reval to this enacted law, will they possibly have enough dinars to pay everyone?
Were they not voting on an amendment to their constitution this week to monetize their oil? Would that be just a coincidence with a retirement law about to go into effect?
So many questions. Personally, I think something is about to pop!

Hasn't there been a lot on the HCL in the news lately too? Doesn't HCL just need the final reading? It seems there has been so much positive NEWS lately on a lot of things. Just my thoughts........I know it doesn't mean anything will happen but we can still hope. If not there are so many positive things going on right now. Not having as many casualty's of our troops is worth a lot.

The more confidence gathers among the Iraqis regarding their well-being gradually reaching new heights as they have never felt before, the better they learn quickly in understanding civilized norms of survival with respecting each other and appreciating the benefits that peace is rewarding them...there won't be any room allowed for anyone trying to disrupt and eventually, the noose will turn greater in spotting or singling those out that appears to behave or express anti-reform goals....
This is something that needs to develop by the Iraqis themselves and its catching up, to the benefit and fruitful efforts the war-machine is contributing in suppressing those insurgents...and hopefully, increasing the value we all are waiting for on the Dinars!!!
Can anyone devote or appraise all these spent efforts including many precious, American & Coalition lives lost to countries like France and Germany for heavily opposing the bold initiative???
But they sure like to rush in & cash in on the profits ...AFTER the USA does the rubbish bit right? Thats the same as, swear & oppose the Bush decision to ever go in & police in Iraq but its all hands on deck to swoop in on the jackpot with no shame to past criticisms on the necessary intervention that will soon bring stability to the country. There are many out there with such low coward and leechy hides manifesting on this path.... shame on them, it makes all those lost lives to be lost in vain by such remorseless indifferent attitude.
Those brave men needs your everyday support and understanding for them to be in that war zone.... the fight is not over yet but peace is improving, thanks to their courage to stay the course, pray for them, THEY DESERVE IT most!

Thanks For Your Post!
I think this is one of the best posts I have read in a long time. My hats off to you. I have tried posting info. about our troops, and positive info. about the war in general. I usually get bashed for not seeing the truth, as thou those who bash are themselves sitting next to our government officials and have first hand info. as does Micheal Moore believers. I believe in this country and our goals. I know we make mistakes but who amoung us is perfect. I believe in the Iraqi mission because the middle east needs an altenative to the rule of kings and dictators. Iraq is the perfect place to sow this seed. Hopefully it will prosper and grow, and we will all benefit in more ways than just the Dinar.
