I would like to think that this is a smoke screen. If it's not however, there is some conflicting news?! Take a look at Mike5200's post in the Think Tank thread, sounds like some really good news to me!

IRAQI KURDS APPROVE DRAFT OIL LAW...
Kurdistan region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani said on June 25 that his government has approved a draft oil law and has informed the Iraqi government in Baghdad, the independent Voices of Iraq news agency reported the same day. "I sent a message to Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to update him on our approval of the proposed draft law and we will wait to have it sent to the parliament," Barzani said. Kurdish lawmakers rejected an earlier draft on the grounds that it gives the central government too much control over the distribution of the oil revenues. Under the revised draft, the Kurdish regional government (KRG) would directly receive a share of the oil proceeds, believed to be approximately 17 percent of total Iraqi oil revenues. The draft law had stalled due to partisan bickering since February and the Kurds' approval represents the removal of a major hurdle for the establishment of a comprehensive oil and gas law in Iraq. Lawmakers in parliament are set to discuss the draft oil law within a few days. SSLast edited by Caviar Dreams; 26-06-2007 at 05:42 PM.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

damn good thing we have someone around here pointing out all the negative stuff in the media. has it occured to anyone that they have one parliamentarian that just was arrested for murder and the speaker himself is stepping down and the disruption in parliament MIGHT be causing the delay?
kinda hard to hold parliament without a speaker and with one cabinet member in the process of bein busted.
i stated a long time ago the iraqis will complete things IN THEIR OWN TIME. not because someone in the usa says so, not because threats are made weekly. because, as you can see, a threat has been made almost weekly and they continue AT THEIR OWN PACE. making sure they are creating a country that will be worth staying in. alot to be said for doin it the right way instead of the quick way.JULY STILL AINT NO LIE!!!
franny, were almost there!!
