It is has been proven that they printed 14 denominations when they exchanged the old currency. There are may nay-sayers that say until we see proof of lower denomainations there will be no reval. I really fail to see this as a big issue. I beleive that Iraq merchants would simply use both currencies, USD and IQD until the newer denominations were circulating. I have seen this happen in other foreign countries I have visited...don't see why Iraq would be any different

how do you know it didnt happen then? that was one of the times there was a letter of intent that expired so it could have very well happened. i do know this, the original group of soldiers from utah that distributed the dinar in the beginning when it was new was retrained for another mission last summer and they were to return to iraq to 'promote the new dinar'. i reported the article and was contacted by someone who talked to the guards at the very base they were sent from who found out exactly when they were to leave. the timeline given would have put them in iraq at the end of the year. which is when the stryker activity was taking place. you talk to enough people and you find all sorts of interesting things out.
like there is a guy at the dark side who was actually transporting the dinar to the airport when it was flown over here to the treasury. he found out what was in the container he was transporting and watched it be loaded onto a military plane and leave immediately for the usa. he confirmed this with me in private when he realized i really did see a photo of several palettes of dinar in the us treasury. i know his information was factual as i was talking to him on the phone while i had a fellow researcher listening in who had driven trucks in the same area he described word for word. my fellow research team member said it was undeniable that his story was too factual.Last edited by shotgunsusie; 17-06-2007 at 12:00 AM.

pictures of dinar on palettes all disappeared. when i went to retrieve the ones we found they were history. couldnt even find the image via history of the computer we used.
come to think of it the shot of the dinar on palettes with us treasury guards was wrapped similar to how you describe, one was broken open by a guard and a stack of dinar was being fanned out.Last edited by shotgunsusie; 17-06-2007 at 12:32 AM.

It seems that the state insists, or preserve the value of the Iraqi dinar 148 against the dollar ...Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states [ MOF Sept 2006]
High RV is like Coke; it’s the real thing baby!

I agree it is hard to believe that nobody has leaked anything...
How about this idea about the lower denoms...In each bank vault is a seperate smaller safe, lets say 4 foot by 4 foot by 6 foot that only the CBI has the combination. When they need the bills, they call or fax to the bank manager instruction how to open said inner safe...Walla, bills in place.
I also agree that they could use $USD small bills to fill in the gaps not close to the "distribution" banks. Has anybody ever heard of a percentage of $USD and IQD breakdown usage. Just to throw out a number, if they use the dollar now 50% of the time, then they probably have plenty of small US bills to hold them over. The CBI might have said that each branch must have $100,000 in US 1's, 5's, and 10's (just throwing out a number) on hand at all times.
Remember, they are already comfortable using US dollars.
Also remember, after a RV, only the IQD will go up in value, NOT the $USD.
So if you today go to the Baghdad 7-11 for a can of Coke, you can either pay 1 $USD or 1250 IQD.
After the RV, you can still go into the same 7-11 with your 1 $USD and get the same can, or get 2 each 24 can cases for that 50 dinar note (with a 1:1 RV).
Nobody really knows...just throwing out some ideas.
Best to all,

Episode 6 Synopsis: The Financial Sector and Money Markets
Airdate: August 6, 2005

The program discussed the financial sector and money markets in
Iraq, with a special focus on the role of the Central Bank of Iraq.
The program addressed the following topics:
• Regulation and stocking of Iraqi currency
• Monitoring of credits according to the general monetary
policies of the government.
• Fixing the rate of the Iraqi Dinar and fighting inflation
• Partnership opportunities between local and international
private banks
The three guests from the Central Bank discussed the bank’s
plan to enhance the Iraqi banking sector and financial markets
throughout 2006. They highlighted a series of steps that have
already been taken, including:
• Establishing the Central Bank’s independence from the
Ministry of Finance
• Training 70% of the bank’s staff on international best
practices
• Printing a series of 14 new Iraqi Dinar notes and coins
However, guests on the show representing private banks and the
private sector, as well as average Iraqis interviewed on the street,
voiced the following concerns about the policies of the Central
Bank:
• There is only one financial market within Iraq, the Iraq Stock
Exchange, which is dominated by a few key players.
• The procedures for participating in the Iraq Stock Exchange
are very cumbersome. For example, it takes 45 days for a
certificate to be issued to a new stockholder.
• Private banks require support from the Central Bank to
obtain training for their staff in areas such as information
technology, international best practices, and English.
• Checks issued by private banks are not accepted by state and
government entities.
