Yes! I know people who would go to the california dunes to surf...LOL never understood why they didn't just take the trip all the way to the beach and surf on water, but they said it was a blast

It's a blast until you come off your board. This you'll develope a severe case of road rash int you didn't dress properly...combat boot, jeans, gloves, longsleeve sweatshirts, and full-face helmets. I know it's a bit extreme, but crazy fun!

Interesting. I had to do the same to your id i.e., remove it from ignore list!

At least we both agree on one thing...a reciprocal ignore list.

    Default Sand storm

Notazbad, Did the Sandstorm look something like this? You need to get your Sand Board and hide in side. This picture is from the sandbox, you know where that is! when I was in high school I went with my uncle and grandma to White Sands New Mexico and had fun sliding down the hills on waxed cardboard.Name: sandstormiraq.jpg

I wouldn't be surprised if you seen the format of the exchange rate page change to just IQD against other foriegn currency. OH, and I think I will stick with .19 like what was accidently put out there a while back.

    CASH OUT
I like the sound of that. I also believe it (the .19 NID rate) was a wee bit premature and NOT a computer problem. Just someone jumping the gun so to speak. I would not be the least surprised if that is the Real RV rate. But I think others on this forum (SGS, RR to name a couple) are more to the wise and that is the reason I stick to a $3.00 plus RV rate. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

    Lightbulb

    Dinarstar,

Hope I can guide you from the dark side of the force…

There is more that assumptions at work here. Both Kuwaiti and Iraq wealth lays within its Oil Reserves and as such the leading cause of the war between the two countries. The Kuwaiti Dinar before the war was around $3.20, RV around $1.20 spiked to around $9.00 before quickly settling in at its present day rate.

The Iraqi & Muslim pride will be their undoing! Some news out of Iraq places most wanting the RV to be at the same rate or higher. Look for a RV just over a dollar USD and watch it end up close to the same value it once held. The Banking System, Money Exchangers, and Iraq will turn larger profits from those that dump their IQD low for a hand full of cash. For some this will be more money than they have ever seen or could have in their lives.

Being a trained and experienced sniper, I have learned to wait to take my shot at the best moment to obtain my kill. Before you start dumping your 25K notes or turning in your IQD 1M at a shot, crunch the number. First take 1M IQD and list the exchange rate starting at the low $.10, then .50, 1.00, 1.50, raising it just by .50 each time. Now show the extra income by waiting until the next step. By the time you reach $3.40 (I think the ER before the invasion) you will see where I’m going. Go small to cover your needed expenses and you keep the extra income, not the banks.

Just take the time to crunch the numbers. The Iraqi Dinar will follow the same path rather it is a shorter or longer one is yet to be seen. Taking longer will only hurt the government and people of Iraqi…

As I have lived in Arizona all my life and experienced temps in the low 120's I figured I could tough it out in Iraq if I needed to. Dad set me straight on that though, as he relayed that it was easily in the 130 range on many days while he was in Iraq. Now I don't know how many of you have experienced anything over 110 degrees Farenheit for one day or a period of days, but when it starts getting around 115 I start to get a little testy and every rise in temp by 1 degree seems like it is calling your name. When it gets to 120 I feel like I have fallen into hell and my skin is politely asking if it can begin melting. Anyhow, a 10 degree difference doesn't sound like much, but at this point in my life I begin to get excited when it is 105 instead of 115. Ahhh nice and balmy, with a cool, dry breeze...

Anyhow, I can certainly understand how the common Iraqi would feel like his hide is literally being chapped working in temperatures 10 degrees hotter than 120+ for little or no benefit. If it didn't make you go stir crazy I don't know what would. I mean geeze, it really can get to you psychologically when you feel like you are wearing sandpaper for clothes.

    .
now add a kevlar helmet, body armor, boots , rucksack, weapon, AMMO for the weapon (one of the worst weights) and other equipment... PLUS a camelback for hydration (which lasts about an hour so you have to have more water in your area too).... but yeah the oil workers are suckin too... no pay and soldiers get paid and have a support system.
I JUST WANNA ROCK! (HAVE YOU SEEN THE BRIDGE? WHERES THAT CONFOUNDED BRIDGE?)
