Thankyou. That's what I was looking for. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you have to "dog" them. I'm just looking for everyone's opinion, whether it be a slow grow theory, overnight RV, shakeout rate, or a bold adjustment.

Would like everybody to work as a team & show mutual respect for one another. And, let's have some fun while we play this waiting game.

WELL SAID....

A while back I popped for some 1K IQD notes just in case of a low RV. I looked at the following. If the IQD comes in at just 1.26 and I only have a 25K note I will lose $100,000 USD if later they do spike to $5.26 USD/1 IQD.

I will recoup the difference in the cost with just the next RV. I now have friends trying to find ways to get some 1K IQD notes too…

You lost me there wolf. How would you lose $100K by having 25k notes? I would think you would lose more by having 1k notes since they will cost you MORE to obtain than the 25k notes. Post-RV, they will ALL be worth the same regardless of denomination.

That is what makes this place so great. We can disagree, fuss a bit and then read on and smile. I want a big RV as bad as most of the folks here. Just because I say .30 range does not mean I don't want that elusive big #. Just being realistic. I read the great info posted here, try to make heads or tails of it and that makes me see the smaller rv in the initial release. Who knows. Thank you folks for the education. Warrior is back to his lurk mode..

We all are going to take advantage of the IQD RV. However, if they start low and all you have are 25K IQD notes you will lose money. The difference between $1.26 and $5.26 is $4.00.

$4.00 x 25,000 = $100,000 USD.

Another way of looking at this, for every 25K IQD note you have, you will lose $2,500 USD for every $.10 increase of value in the IQD. If they rise by just $1.00 USD you lose $25,000 on each 25K IQD note. That is why I have a few 1K IQD notes to last until a good value is obtained.

Hmmm my Prediction.

If there is to be any kind of 'bold adjustment' it 'ought' to be when the ISX opens for 'foreign investors' because it would be 'awkward' to do it after. I believe it will be low to start.

I believe if there is no rate change before the ISX is open to 'foreign investors' then it will rise slowly over a period of time.

I also think that although Iraq wishes their currency to be on a par with neighbouring Countries, my impression is that this is a final goal over the longterm and not a short term goal.
