I have received information that the Iraqi Stock Exchange will begin 2 session trading starting Monday 6/11/2007

I was told there will be a morning and afternoon session each at 3 hours per or 6 hours daily. I am guessing this will also be the start of 5 day trading but this was not confirmed. Let's see what pans.

There is only ONE reason for the ISX to increase its trading days and number of sessions. An anticipated increase in volume. I thought this news needed a little more attention. Thank You.

They seem to have $USD's "Ratholed" everywhere we look!! More or less, they are trying to protect these Reserves from conviscation by creditors until the Debt Relief deals are finalized...

I moved it to the thread I started re ISX - but no one, as yet, has commented on it.

I think there is huge significance here as well as the above for the following reason also which i posted :-

"I believe that it is quite significant that the ISX website went offline and am even more surprised that this thread did not gender more attention. My thoughts are that if the ISX allows foreign investors in without a significant 'bold adjustment' that this will indeed end up being a slow grow. Which I very much hope not. So we are either close or .......?"

The interview needs to be read in it's entirety but if you go to page 6 it states :-

"TANT : Now, with the new dinar, we have six denominations for the people. I understand that they're going to reestablish some coinage and perhaps two additional denominations, giving them a total of eight denominations plus coinage to continue progressing the currency situation."

No timeline.

I can see what that tells me - anyone else's thoughts?

Several comments on ISX site being down, strikers to hold off until Monday hoping their demands for higher pay come thru, Isx going to 2 sessions a day starting Monday. It would seem an RV would be necessary to accomplish the higher (meaningful) pay, allow more trading on IX, ISX up and running Monday? JMHO

The RV must be close. Why you ask? Simply put, the Iraqi Government/People are losing money everyday that the ID is at its current rate. If I am going to buy a barrel of oil at the present rate of exchange, Iraqi comes out on the short end of the stick.

With the RV, they stand to make more money and have a more stable monetary system and way of life fore their people.

As for the exchange of a 25K ID for 2.5K, don’t think you really will see that until after the RV. The printing of the smaller denominations was for the day when the RV went into effect. As we exchange our ID for good old green backs, they will slowly be removed from service.

I just can’t understand why some people feel that they need a D9 Cat to remove the cat poop from the sand box. Keep It Simple S….
