Hi Hardrock,
Maybe I could have phrased that part a little differently, but I never said he/she was bashing anyone. True, we are all in this for the same reasons...to see a better life for the Iraqi people (first), for us (secondary), which in turn (most of us) will help make better circumstances for others. It was not my intent to bash anyone as I too get so frustrated with reading through the meaningless bashings. If it came across that way, I do apologize to all...I will pick my words more carefully next time. That post was meant as a praise to all for the civility shown...almost 5 pages worth at the time I posted it. I have no problem with others from other forums as I lurk around in the other ones too. This is the only one that I have joined, but I enjoy info from any source. My comment about the "exception" was only meant to be that if your intentions are good, then why the ruse of an attempted disguise. I enjoy disagreements and debates...that's what keeps us grounded (IMO).
Didn't mean to offend anyone...not my style. Sorry if it came across that way and thanks for pointing that out. I guess I just got too excited in that many pages occurring with no one bashing the author.
Patty
P.S. Before my next posting (redneck/cowpoke language) raises any suspicion, it was meant to be funny.
While I can see $1+, I cannot see $3+.
IMO, one of the keys to the RV being successful for iraq is future, or continued speculation. If the belief is there is room for the dinar to grow, ie; from $1 to say, $2-$3+, then the next wave of speculators buys what we exchange, preventing the dinar from returning to iraq. This, obviously, would eliminate or lessen the burden on the CBI's reserves. Again, JMO.
there is always a possibility it can rv as high as $3.45. i believe iraq has more oil than kuwait. im sure they have more nat resources. emotionally-i cant see it happening. if it does-im all in. $3.45 x 100 million dinars = more $$ than i can spend in my lifetime; even supporting my more obscure charities like the wizards home for gorgeous but yet wayward prostitutes.......the foundation for the preservation of 1986 chateau lafite......and other worthy charities
I know this is wrong place to post, but for those who care about Franny, I have posted in "Road to recovery for Franny" news regarding her. Thanks.
Overseas speculation is of no concern to Shabibi since the MoO will introduce a petro-dinar as the Russians did with the ruble. It will make the dinar a hot commodity among nations who wish to do oil business with Iraq. Utilizing the petro-dinar also allows the CBI to control the amount of actual currency in circulation. IMF estimates put the amount of dinar in circulation at 58% of the M2.
You crack me up !!!!:fryingpan...you act like you invent the news ...oh wait you do !!!!!:toofunny:....I don't steal anything from anyone......I believe most of us are here for one reason and that is to share news ...hey I have my sources just like you ...oh wait not just like you I use facts not "my friends brother told me" ....LOL...If some one finds a good article I like to show every one not sure whats wrong with that???? in case you need some good sources heres some I have found ..... You lady need to grow up !!!

Shotgunsusie. Do you have any take on RollsRoyce's information. Inquisitive minds with shallow pockets want to know.
Thnx, if this is the case, it's a no-brainer......wrap up the current legislative issues, and we're almost home.
I'm also thinking the Ernst&Young audit will play into this.
If iraq has requested a new par value at the mid-May Art IV meeting, then I suspect the outcome may rest on the audit results. I would also suspect that a new LoI was presented at or around the time of the Art IV meetings, leaving Shabibi an approximate 2 week window to pull the trigger, so to speak.
SGS did you wake up to reality yet...or are you still lotto dreaming? Thought for sure i was rich after last weekend.
Extremely logical and sensible post! I concur that the audit will play a part in the overall outcome. Also consider the DFI is still not in the GoI's control, so all petroleum profits are still routed to the DFI. If the oil companies are allowed to go into the country before the HCL is passed the DFI account gets larger and larger...it will be interesting to see how that part plays out. I am anxious to see how the Article IV discussions turn out.
