Have you guys ever thought of this? If Iraq could revalue 1:1 wouldnt they do it if they knew they could? What if they just cant do it......? Any Opinions on this?

Jmho
Interesting thought, there.
If you are thinking that the CBI is being prohibited from EVER having a bold adjustment to say, 1:1, then I would say Iraq better hold off all foreign investmenting to keep from giving the country away. I feel that there are a handfull of international power brokers from those positions of power that over shadow all presidents and governments that are involved with what is being orchestrated in Iraq and the CBI. This type of answer has been posted in the past. These power brokers are going according to their plan and are unconcerned with how long things may take; they act at will when they feel the time is right- with or without cooperation, agreement or even awareness from other, lesser authorities. All we can do is guess and speculate on some of the how's and when's based on information and knowledge gleened from various sources. Those in the position of real power are not out to screw us peons; they are not adjusting their plan becouse we have discovered a way to profit from what will transpire. They are very focused on their objective and are not affected by who benefits or who suffers along the way of history in the making.... jmho.
Blessings On YOU! AL

Paulie, remember in the event of a reval the purchasing power of the people goes up accordingly. Although this is a very good thing for the people of Iraq, that is not the biggest event. The purchasing power of the GoI also increases. The amount of infrastructure that has to be built or replaced is gigantic. The GoI needs a vast amount of money to do all the things they need to do. It will take years even with a reval much more without one. In my opinion the only thing holding back a reval is the CBI's perception about the stability of the economy. The CBI will not do anything that, in it's mind, will undermine the economy. It's my hope that with the 3 big laws being passed or about to be passed, the CBI will then be satisfied with the economic foundation.

Paulie I must agree with this to a point. to an extent. ---To many reports that are more than rumors. I think they are going full speed ahead with trying to get the job of RV implemented. ---Don't Know how fast full speed for the Iraqi political comunity, or the CBI is. LOL They do, seem to me, to be dragging thier feet on all IMPORTANT matters over there.
I feel that it is going to happen, but Not Until they get off thier rear ends and make a FINAL desicion. In the Mean time I'm Just going to relaxJ and enjoy my other programs which are by the way paying. JMHO BOBLast edited by bob1940; 25-02-2007 at 08:38 PM. Reason: Spelling.

ITs hard to answer a vague question... "what if they just cant do it?" ? ? ? ?
what does that mean? Cant do it due to what? IMF? too much currency circulation? too dang lazy? If youre gonna be worry wart, at least be specific about it... you remind me of my sweet grandma, may she rest in peace, who sat around all day making a full time job out of worrying... about nothing.
When the train pulls in, it pulls in.
If it doesnt, trust me , we the Western World will have something VERY specific to worry about, and then youll be in your element. Until then.... geesh how many articles from how many sources is it gonna take to convince you we gonna be floatin and backstrokin in champagne and soon. Sigh.I JUST WANNA ROCK! (HAVE YOU SEEN THE BRIDGE? WHERES THAT CONFOUNDED BRIDGE?)

Paulie, the problem with your question that makes folks sigh is that it is such basic worry with all the info that has been posted over the last couple of years. Given all the information supporting the need to rv, how can you not know it is not a question of not being able to rather than will they or won't they. The ability is not in question. But world politics, in country politics and CBI nervousness over the economy are things that will influence an rv. Debt forgiveness, IMF and WTO are all politics. Having said all that, it is my belief that the politics are in favor of those circumstances that brings about currency revaluation. I am surprised that you have not drawn some conclusions of your own. Your question makes you look like you have not read anything about Iraq. Let me be the first to say, it's ok to believe that the dinar will rv. It is really ok.
