IMHO, I think the CEO is VERY confident. Why is he still going to Iraq???? This is why: (part of MrsCK's post)
Ceo is going to Iraq on his trip. RV or no Rv he is still going now - he will be setting up bank accounts, getting with Iraqi's for employment and working on suppliers for materials, etc.

Why would he do all this if he was not confident of Iraq honouring his contract??????

I agree there are no doubt people in parliament that want to sabotage efforts! But I can guarantee this they they are not stupid, there may be driven by a need for power but I bet you they have a shit load of dinar under their bed! I have an arab family as neghbours, and they are very relgious but they are the most arrogant, competitive, money hunger mothers out there!

    Parliament-Session-Update 1
    Parliament passes 2007 national budget
    By Santa Michael
Baghdad, Feb 8, (VOI)- Iraq's Parliament approved on Thursday an ID 42,640,000 million (USD 32,200 million) FY 2007 budget.
The budget approval was delayed for almost two weeks for differences among major blocs over two issues, the financial appropriations for the three presidencies and allocations for Iraq's Kurdistan region's guards (peshmerga).
The parliament passed the 2007 budget in Thursday's session with majority after an agreement was reached to move five percent of the total financial appropriations to the parliament presidency office.
Earlier, the parliament speaker today's ordered a private session to give the defense minister, who was present at the session, a chance to answer lawmaker's enquiries openly.
Some legislators asked the Speaker to declare a private session so that the defense minister could answer all enquiries without harming any classified information that he might be mentioning during the session.
Speaker Dr. Mahmoud al-Mashhadani who chaired today's session ordered all journalists out of the parliament hall.
Thursday's session was the last before a month recess.

Try not to tear me apart this time sir. Thank you

Here in the U.S.A in my area of Texas I vote for a Senator or Congress person. Now that person see what we need in this part of Texas. Then they go to WASHINGTON and try and get funding or pass laws that will help this area. OK NOW ONCE THAT SESSION OF CONGRESS, HOUSE IS OVER WHAT DOES MY SENATOR DO????? Do they stay in WASHINGTON??? NO!!! They come back to my area TO WORK find more stuff that needs funding, etc. SO THAT AT THE NEXT SESSION IN WASHINGTON THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO WORK ON!!!!!!!!!!

IT POINT BLANK SAY "SESSION ENDED" DOES NOT MEAN THEY STOP WORKING!! The parliment people get to go back to there PROVINCES and find out what the PEOPLE NEED so when Parliment starts up again in MARCH THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO WORK ON!!

PLUS IT STATED "WTO WILL BE HOLDING MEETING THROUGH OUT THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY" IF EVERYBODY IS ON "HOLIDAY" THEN WHO WILL BE SHOWING UP FOR THE MEETING WITH THE WTO?????

I REALLY HOPE THIS PUTS THE DEBATE TO REST.

Default A note on patients, look at the big picture.

Anyhow, here's to being more patient...
When I was first introduced to this investment I reasoned that it might very well be a very long time before I reaped any reward, if ever, but I figured that the risk to reward ratio was so good that I could not pass up this opportunity lest I be kicking myself viciously at some point in the future either near or far.

From the beggining I thought that the war would need to be over and the country rebuilt with a working economy ect. ect.... but then there was all this talk of a possible instant revaluing of the currency. I realize that such things are possible however, I do not understand what events or circumstances are necessary to warrant a revaluation of the currency so, I've gotten just as excited as anyone else in the hope of that possibility and I've yet to loose all hope that a instant revalue could still happen any day now but whether it does or does not one thing I'm very certain of and that is that the only way we loose with this investment is if we sell out too soon or the US military pulls out of Iraq too soon.

Look everybody, this could take years, possibly 5 or 10 years before all is well in Iraq. I hope it doesn't take that long but what if it does? I will still be holding my Dinars and waiting. Really, what's the worst that could happen? The US Military could pull out before the job is done and the country could be invaded by Iran or Syria or Sadi Arabia or all of the above and the middle east could become a worse place than it is today and our investment could be lost forever but, I recognized that possibility from the get go.

So, just keep looking at the big picture. As long as the US Military is in Iraq there is hope that all will turn out well and hopefully the Iraqi government will revalue the dinar soon as we have all been hoping for but even if they do not, the currency should continue to rise in value as long as economic progress is made. The country has huge resorces and not just oil so, there is every reason to believe that the dinar should and could grow in value the same as any other currency in the world that has a substanial economy operating behind it.

good post Rodney...but your key words"AS LONG AS THE U.S. MILITARY IS IN IRAQ" is the real answer....and as seen, the American people and the public as a whole is not happy about the war and what is going on....there is a need of urgency now,yet this government argues about everything, when they are there...half the time half don't show up for a quota to even vote on laws........it seems like the prime minister wants the U.S. Military do do all of HIS dirty work for him...it ain't gonna happen....they need to get their act together...and fast....i understand that we are looking at them from our Western culture, but really it is time for them to get off their u know whats and REVEL.....a friend of mine told me years ago...he is of Lebanese citizenship...u can't buy these MUSLIMS....u can only rent them for a while....because they will always go to the highest bidder.....maybe he knew what he was talking about....just my opinion.....GO DINARS...Pat

    Voices of Iraq: Iraq-Parliament

    Iraq-Parliament
UIC, KC agree on changing parliament speaker
    By Dergham Ali Mohammed
Baghdad, Feb 10, (VOI) - Members of the Shiite Unified Iraqi Coalition (UIC) and the Kurdistan Coalition (KC) as well as some members of the Sunni Iraqi Accordance Front (IAF) converged on the need to change Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, according to a UIC member on Saturday.
"The change of Mashhadani has become inevitable after all the parliamentary blocs gave him more than one chance to improve the way he runs parliament but he does not observe any parliamentary protocols," Sami al-Askari told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
Askari said members of parliament will propose changing the parliament speaker upon resumption of sessions on March 1, adding the the new speaker will be chosen from the IAF in accordance with the current political agreements.
Iraqi politicians had agreed that the president will be Kurdish, the prime minister a Shiite Muslim and the parliament speaker a Sunni Muslim.
The Iraqi parliament is now in a recess supposedly for two months in accordance with the Iraqi constitution but the issue of the budget and frequent delays to debate it trimmed the legislators' vacation to less than one month.
Members of the UIC, the largest bloc with 130 out of a total 275 seats, had walked out from February 4 session in protest against Mashhadani's statements in which he said that Mishaan al-Juburi, the leader of the Sunni Reconciliation & Liberation bloc, which has only three seats in the Iraqi parliament, was part of the Iraqi people.
UIC members had also protested Mashhadani's reading of a statement by a number of tribal chiefs on the incidents of al-Zarga in Najaf as they deemed the statement as inciting against the Iraqi government led by Shiite Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
Juburi, who was stripped of parliamentary immunity late last year over charges against him and his son Yazan of financial and administrative corruption, is the owner of al-Zawraa satellite channel, recently closed by the government for allegedly fomenting sectarian sedition.

I believe the Rv will happen.
When it happens, is the main question here for me.
I have already waited nearly 1.5 years. And frankly, even if it took that much, or more for it to go 1:1+, i will simply wait. Keep my eyes open for any
new currency launched in the future (if any).

Afghanistan's currency value is higher then iraq's. And Afghanistan has as much as nothing but mountains, sheep, farmland. Iraqi has got a big wealth of powerful natural resources... Things just dont add up, unless we see a RV in the future.

    Hold on to that dinar.

    Regards
