Read a post yesterday from a former employee,he is still waiting.
Yes it is great news. I am glad thing are rolling as planed in right direction.
I am pleased for those staff people and I hope they go back to job and help Bryan on hard work.
They would not be awarded with pay if investigation is not over. Well let's see what will be next.
In the United States a labor board dispute would never take this long. If employees do the time, they should get the dime, as the saying goes. Nobody should have to wait this long to be paid for hours worked, especially if the employees never lodged a complaint. An investigation under normal circumstances would never impede workers from getting their paycheck. HHMMMNN
Since BNM was coducting investigations and holding all money, it is logical that after was all done to released back pay. It is not that simple as you think.Quote:

Remember that the United States is almost insignificantly small in comparance to the rest of the world and what's normal there is not normal everywhere else. This applys both to the "good" and the "bad" things.Quote:

Are you saying they were not paid since august 2004?Quote:

If employees are being paid then...I would conclude:
Investigation is over.
The funds in Malaysia are unfrozen. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_15_6v.gif
This, in my humble opinion, is a huge step forward.

Way to go LD
I had forgot all about the terrible twosome and all the trouble they where in. LOL... there was also a third party involved but can't remember his name.
Clifton
More speculation as usual. If indeed BNM released funds to pay staff (this was in fact denied by a member of staff ) does not necessarily mean that all funds are unfrozen.
No point in getting your hopes up until we get an official announcement.
Where is the Pioneers Forum?
Hi Jaybug
I have worked in Asia and malaysia and have friends who are lawyers and a judge
I can say that things move and a different pace than in the USA
We cannot compare sometimes

Well this would explain where Bryan has been for the last week... Working out in what order people should get the released funds. obviously staff first, then probably picpay pending wd's then the rest. Oh of course this is pure seculation but for now... hurray!
...hm, just wondering!Quote:

To me all the blah blah are pure speculations!

I am not arguing with anyone.Speculation is rife that funds are released etc.I will wait for Bryans announcement to confirm this.Quote:

Hey,I really hope they get their pay
Laughing..... I was just offering different speculation, really pointing out the same as you are. The post that I commented had a more or less hidden suggestion that things are a certain way and I merely poitning out that there is no need to draw conclusions on those speculations.Quote:

Oops! It was a typo. I meant "August 2005". Thank you for the heads up!Quote:

What one (investigation of company for fraud) has to do with the other (employees paychecks withheld) somewhat escapes me. And yes, I do realize that company funds were frozen. Obviously working people have few rights in Malaysia then.
Hello all, just was wondering if anyone new if the press in Malaysia is open to print info on the investigation? It might be out in the news that the investigation has had some progress. I know that in the U.S. it would be all over the papers. Just a thought.:waiting:
Can any one of you confirm and verify that former employees of PIPS is getting paid???
It's good to be back after 6 days of ban. I was banned bec they did not like my comment.
Badger05
badger,
Jees, that's hard to believe. Actually, I must have said something to upset a "watcher" myself. I had my little hand slapped also.
The point is that as much as the negative viewpoints are deleted and oppressed, they will be heard eventually.
To coin a phrase, "we just have to be patient".
Children ask better questions than adults. "May I have a cookie?" "Why is the sky blue?" and "What does a cow say?" are far more likely to elicit a cheerful response than "Where's your manuscript?" Why haven't you called?" and "Who's your lawyer?"
Actually right here in the US -I waited for 2 years before the court sent me a paycheck for labor hours -- the only problem is I only got a check for 20% of the amount the company owed me -- it was funny, because I could not figure for weeks why I got this ch3eck in the mail, but I finally tracked it down to the labor claim I had made ( Basically the company was sold to someone elso and he bought it undeer the conditions that he was not responsible for past debts) ( I worked at that ompany for 5 years afterwards __ but for the last month while the previous owner was in posession -- I only got paid 20% of my monthly pay 2 years later)-- so I don't quite agree.

This is very good news I would believe. former employes would not be getting paid if something good wasn't happening :)
Looking forward hearing more good news on this!

I was thinking it would be great if there were some Pipsters that live in the Darwin or northern area of Australia that could take the short flight trip Malaysia to try to gather some information on ground in Malaysia. I have family in Darwin and very close friends in Brisbane who are not in Pips but traffick beef business with Malaysia and Indonesia. At least I have a base of operations should I make the trip myself; but it seems there should be some extant Pipsters in northern Australia that could avail themselves an excursion to Malaysia to gather some first-hand information on the ground. Thinking out loud here, but the idea is that we are in some urgent need for an advocation on behalf of the membership that could take us a step further into some facts instead of being at the mercy of Bryan's silence and the gross speculation of everyone and thing else. Okay, there's evidently no such Pipster or something like this would have been done already; this just wishful, out-loud thinking, wishing that, for once, some common-sense would prevail in this situation...it'd be nice would it not?

thelema
It most certainly would....(!)

But really the average person, especially if they are foreign is most likely not going to get any information. It would have to be a dignitary, attorney or maybe a private investigator.
Can we not get this confirmed that ex employees are getting paid? Surely someone must know one of the ex workers.....
