well the crap has hit the fan in a little place called Enochville in North Carolina USA. PIPS made the local (Salisbury Post) paper and it is not good. Now that the main stream press has a hold of it who knows what will happen. Bryan, if you can fix this I hope it is sooner than later so all this "bad" press will go away. I am holding out hope that things will work out, but like it has already been stated...only you know for sure.

NOT Bryan's doing
It seems to me that this is nothing to do with PIPS but more to do with the couple involved accepting money to invest from others knowing that there was a problem at the time and not informing the investors of these problems and is therefore an issue between them and the investors and nothing for Bryan to "sort out".

Interesting,
I suspect this is the tip of the iceburg as thousands were exchanging dollars for picpay for months, so think of how many others are in the same position as this couple. Scary, but they will surely be held libel, no matter what happens with Bryan and PIPS. If one took money in exchange for picpay, this will be twisted as taking money for an unregistered investment, whether in our minds it was, or not, makes little difference to authorities.
Good luck to all, Mike

As I understand PIPS, it is a corporation valued when it went down at least $3 billion; that is with a B. Although governments have ways of eating those kind of funds, I would think they would have great difficulty of squandering such an amount in legal and investigative fees to their crony friends without an explanation, although they have creative ways of doing even that - remember Larry Prater and Shared Profit and their exchange bank, SpringPay (like PicPay), who were going to come back in a couple of months, or at least have their case finalized by January or so of 2004. They are still out as far as I know, without a word being heard. And they are in the U.S, MA, if I remember.
I find the harder I work, the luckier I get

hey Liz, I happen to know the couple in question and you are so far from the truth. This is all that I will say on the subject, but the the press and the police are wrongly accusing this couple. Plus I know of some local police, lawyers, judges who happen to be in the same boat.

You know whats really funny....I'd like to see how most of the complaining people would react to the New Your Stock Exchange tankin again or what they would do if their employers revoked thier pensions and threw them out because the company needed to file bankruptsy. (Which happens all the time) Any market is a game of chance and you never put away any more than you're willing to loose and never ever ever put all your eggs in one basket. As for the people like in the article who misrepresent, let them get what they deserve. As I read it, they should never have taken other peoples money in the first place. Some people think the world owes them everything, it sure would be nice if they pointed their own finger at themselves for a change. Being responsible for oneself, WOW what a concept. Just my thought.

Hey pips1, your right. My stepdad bought $10,000 of us airlines stock and they filed bankruptcy 2 weeks later. Now his stocks aren't worth anything and the company gets to keep his money. His words were, oh well, you win some and you lose some, but you hope that that you win more than you lose. Life is a gamble and you have to take chances to get ahead in life, so you have to take the bad with the good. I think PIPS was a good investment, but people get greedy and aren't willing to wait, so the first sign of trouble they start holloring foul. Everybody with any sense knows that anything worth having takes time and any business worth investing in has growing pains. cigarman
