    Default E-gold scam (must read)

Hello all, I got an email from a fake e-gold rep it said for me to give my e-gold info to upgrade there security. And if I did not give them the info my acc could be frozen. I contacted e-gold and this is what they sent me back.
(Everyone be careful a lot of scamers) Here it is.

The email you received was not sent by e-gold Ltd. It was a fraudulent
attempt to compromise e-gold accounts through a scam known as "Phishing".
e-gold will never send you an unsolicited email asking you to access your
account from a link in an email or click on a link in an email. Please note
that this e-mail was spammed to both account holders and non account
holders. Receiving this e-mail does not indicate an account has been opened
in your name. If you clicked on the link, there is a strong possibility you
    may have a Trojan
    virus on your computer!

    Thank You,
    e-gold Service 1

    Good luck to all

Whenever you get an email about egold, don't believe it. And never click any link to egold offered by the email in order to keep your egold safe.

I also received an e-mail and I immediately deleted as I knew it was a scam.

You are right , all mail porpoted to have been sent by e-gold should be deleted at once. E-gold never send mails to anyone, unless in reply to your mail.
