Like Shell says, you may have a keylogger. Run a check to see if this is so.
Also, with your e-gold settings, make sure that you are IP sensitive. This is the best security that e-gold has, if anyone attempts to access your account from a different IP address, they won't be allowed to. Next time you access your account, you will have to enter the PIN code that e-gold send you.
When logging in, after you have removed any adware or spyware, always log in using the SRK software provided by e-gold. The logo is next to where you type your password. Instead of typing, you click on the letters of your password with your mouse, therefore no keys are pressed so a keylogger doesn't know what you have typed.
At the end of the day, e-gold don't seem to give a damn about hacking, e-bullion is vastly superior, that is why more and more programmes are swapping to e-bullion.
Hope this helps.

investor; thank you very much for your response to my problem, however, i have already done everything you have suggested including have my virus protection run frequent scans for spywares and adwares which none was detected. this hacker is able to bypass or somehow retrieve the pin# that egold send when ip change is detected, and not only steal funds but also change securiy setting. please anymore suggestion. is it possible to just close the account and use another account.

Bottom line, e-gold sucks. They have constant downtime and customer support is basic. Try and use programmes that use e-bullion.
Hopefully, if anyone else has more ideas, they will post here and we can both learn something.

Stop using Windows & Microsoft programs Install Linux or get a Rebootable Live Linux CD.
With this you reboot the compu & it starts up with Linux from the CD without using the HD.
This way the hacker hardly can get your logins if used ewery time you login to your mail & other accounts online!
Also if you travel just bring the CD & you can safly use any computer without risking your passwords!
I think this definitly would be helping you with your problem!
