the Five Pillars of Islam summarize the Muslim faith pretty well. There are other principles, but these are considered the most essential.

The five pillars are 5 thing every Muslim should do
Shahadah There is no god but God” & “Muhammad is the messenger of God
The 5 daily prayers
Charity: we give money to the needy and poor people
Fasting a month
Pilgrimage (haj)

The statement of faith: “There is no God but Allah (the God)
and Muhammad is the last messenger.”

1: Shahadah
"There is no God but Allah and Muhammad (PBUH) is the Messenger of Allah.
This is the basic statement of the Islamic faith: anyone who cannot recite this wholeheartedly is not a Muslim.
When a Muslim recites this they proclaim:
That Allah is the only God, and that Muhammad is his prophet
That they personally accept this as true
That they will obey all the commitments of Islam in their life
The Shahadah is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam.
Becoming a Muslim
Reciting this statement three times in front of witnesses is all that anyone need do to become a Muslim.
A Muslim is expected to recite this statement out loud, with total sincerity, fully understanding what it means
2: Prayer five times a day in the direction of Mecca.
3: Fasting, particularly for one month a year in the Holy Month of Ramadan. There is a pre dawn meal and then after that, no food or drink until sunset. Special allowances are made for those with medical conditions.

4: Zakat (Charity). 2.5% of your savings/assets to the poor every year before Ramadan starts. (there are special conditions to who has to pay this and who doesn’t and on what they pay it on).
5: The Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca). Not binding on the poorest, I am told, but on those who can afford to do it at least once in their lifetime.
Why are they important?

Carrying out these obligations provides the framework of a Muslim's life, and weaves their everyday activities and their beliefs into a single cloth of religious devotion.
No matter how sincerely a person may believe, Islam regards it as pointless to live life without putting that faith into action and practice.
Carrying out the Five Pillars demonstrates that the Muslim is putting their faith first
What is the Holy Quran? And what does it contain?

The Holy Quran is the Holy Book or the Scripture of the Muslims. It lays down for them the law and commandments, codes for their social and moral behaviour, and contains a comprehensive religious philosophy. The language of the Quran is Arabic. It is a compilation of the verbal revelations given to the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa) over a period of twenty three years.

The Holy Quran is divided into 114 Chapters and each Chapter consists of individual verses. The Chapters (called Surah in Arabic) are of varying lengths, some consisting of a few lines while others run for many pages. The text of the Holy Quran has remained unchanged over the past 1500 years. The millions of copies of the Quran circulating in the world today are all identical down to a single letter. And this is not strange since God says in the Holy Quran that He Himself will guard this book:
“Surely it is We Who have revealed the Exposition, and surely it is We Who are its guardians” (15:10)
To the Muslims, the Quran is the Word of God and contains complete guidance for mankind. Much of the Quran is about God, His attributes and man’s relationship to Him. But it also contains directives for its followers, historical accounts of certain prophets and peoples, arguments for accepting Muhammad as a genuine Prophet and good news for the believers and warnings for the disbelievers.

Who was Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him)?
Muhammad(sa) was the prophet of Islam and the one to whom the final religion was revealed by God. He was born in a noble family in 570CE in Makkah, Arabia and he was a descendant of Prophet Abraham(as). The word ‘Muhammad’ literally means ‘praiseworthy’.

by the way, observation lang naman, everytime kakain misis ko ng pork, manghihina cya at may lalabas sa katawan nya na hindi namin alam kung bakit. kaya si misis iwas na sa pagkain ng pork.
There are so many animals / moving creatures that aren't fit for human consumption (and by the way it is God who pronounced it "unclean", or anybody else)
most halal meat in west is very very very doubtful. better to slaughter your own meat or just not eat meat

Pork-prohibited in Qur�anThe Qur�an prohibits the consumption of pork in no less than 4 different places. Its prohibited in 2:173, 5:3, 6:145 and 16:115.
Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked a name other than that of Allah. [Al-Qur�an 5:3] The above verses of the Holy Qur�an are sufficient to satisfy a Muslim as to why pork is forbidden.

The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus and the swine, as he divideth the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you. Leviticus chapter 11 verse 7 and 8:
Pork is also prohibited in the book of Deuteronomy
And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass. Deuteronomy chapter 14 verse 8:





A similar prohibition is repeated in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.
3. Consumption of pork causes several diseases
The other non-Muslims and atheists will agree only if convinced through reason, logic and science. Eating of pork can cause no less than seventy different types of diseases. A person can have various Helminthes, like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, etc. One of the most dangerous is Taenia Solium, which in a layman�s terminology is called tapeworm. It harbours in the intestine and is very long. Its ova i.e. eggs, enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of the body. If it enters the brain it can cause memory loss. If it enters the heart it can cause heart attack and if it enters the eye it can cause blindness. If it enters the liver it can cause liver damage. It can damage almost all the organs of the body.Another dangerous helminthes is Taenia Tichurasis. A common misconception about pork is that if it is cooked well, these ova die. In a research project undertaken in America, it was found that out of twenty-four people suffering from

5. Pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth



The pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth. It lives and thrives on muck, faeces and dirt. It is the best scavenger that I know that God has produced. In the villages they don�t have modern toilets and the villagers excrete in the open air. Very often excreta is cleared by pigs.Some may argue that in advanced countries like Australia, pigs are bred in very clean and hygienic conditions. Even in these hygienic conditions the pigs are kept together in sties. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean they are filthy by nature. They eat and enjoy their own as well as their neighbour�s excreta.




6. Pig is the most shameless animal

The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. It feels no jealousy. And among people who consume pork, the practice of wife swapping and other forms of promiscuous behaviour is common.

To answer this question,

Solution to all problems is none but God.
God sent prophets for guidance to mankind. This guidance is within prophecies found in original divine books.
Where to find divine original books? To the best of my researches, the only religious holy book unchanged or not distorted up to this very day is Qur'an. Therefore, if people are to look for Pure Divine Guidance or Divine Constitution, they should use this book.


And who are using this book? Answer: Muslims. And what is the religion of Muslims? Answer: Islam.
Therefore, Islam is likely to be a solution to all problems if implemented and interpreted properly. This is a view of scientific researchers supported by scientists of European Union. After reading all the Qur'an, the famous British writer William Shakespeare concluded : “ The author of this book can be none other than God”. This prompted many including scientists to research about the book especially in the field of science - comparison of scientific facts and Quranic verses. They matched at all times.


Here is one of the scientific researches:
When the late French president François Mitterrand took over in 1981, France requested from Egypt in the late eighties to host the mummy of Pharaoh - this Pharaoh known as King Ramses 3 is the one who challenged the prophet Moses from delivering children of Israel from bondage in Egypt - to conduct archaeological tests. The mummy was then brought to the French archaeological centre where the top surgeons led by Professor Maurice Bucaille started to study the mummy and discovered its secrets:


• It was discovered that there were remnants of salt in the mummy of Pharaoh's body. This was the evidence beyond any reasonable doubt that Pharaoh died during drowning and his body got extracted from the sea after the drowning.


• But Professor Maurice Bucaille wondered how had this particular body remained intact from other mummies that got rotten and decayed long ago! While still puzzled, someone told Dr Maurice Bucaille that the whole story of Pharaoh drowning and body preservation are already revealed in the Qur'an though the mummy got detected in 1898 while this Qur'an has been there over 1400 years ago!


• Professor Maurice Bucaille got interested in this Qur'an book and was shown a verse in it where the Al-mighty God says ( Qur'an chapter 10, verse 92 or Surat Jonah 10: 92): “ So this day We shall deliver your (dead) body (out of the sea) that you may be a sign to those who come after you! And verily, many among mankind are heedless of of our signs.” This later led the Professor to believe in the book and made further researches that are written in different books - available even on line, just click Professor Maurice Bucaille researches on U-tube or Google.
This is one if the major reasons Islam is the fastest growing Religion all over the world due to consistency of the scientific prophecies in Qur'an discovered recently in modern science.
