Hi
Well, i was sent 3 mil dinars from USA. I have had dinars from them sent before without any problems. But this time a package of 3mil has been lost in the postal system for almost 2months.
We contacted the post office, and had them track this package several times.Today they had more information about this package i was waiting for.
I was told that it was take my custom, and later handed the police...
The police was now investigating what Dinar is about, and had a problem with to much dinar being sent over in post, so they kept the package for now.
I was also told that i can expect a letter from police sent me home in short, where i was going to have to explain etc etc etc.. Or just get a fine for
not declaring the package in the custom.. Well, i had the sender to declare it when they sent it. But how can one declare such without getting the package? I dont know any such procedures..
Anyway, I might lose 3mil Dinar, and get a fine + some trouble for ordering dinar over postal system...
Or as one of the first police investigators said on the phone to me, it might also be that i might get my package sent + no fine.. But i had to wait for the answer from another person that was handed the case by her to decide if this was legal or illegal...
Now, what is it that i can tell the police besides the general information on dinar? I am amazed that dinars are sent to thousands of places around the globe, but i face such problems?....
Has anyone had similar problems? Any suggestions on how to solve such?
I bought 2.3mil for myself, and 700k for rewarding our good moderators... hmmmm. And now it seems like it has turned into a mess...
regards
Marek

Luckily for me, iraq dinar is not registered as currency in any bank in Poland. I called the police woman i earlier had a chat with and said that, if we are talking about breaking any polish law, then please first find the value in any polish bank for the 3mil dinars.. And i dont mean to convert the sum from IQD to USD and then to polish zloty, but to find out if iraqi dinar is registered with a value in any bank.
In other words, if its not internationally traded, and currency value is set by auctions, "and has not become a worldbank accepted currency", then its in other words ( sorry to say it,just paper)... She said, she had come to same conclusion, and most probably they would not make any case against me, but it was not up to her to decide how this case would end...
I don't know what exactly to point to here, but if someone has any ideas, please share them with me... I could use all advice i get from those that know a little more about such..
Regards

Someone on IDI had a similar situation a few months back, apparantely the authorities had no clue what they were dealing with, and i think just wanted to make sure that nothing illegal ie...laundering or terrorist funding was going on. Keep us posted, I'm sure this will all be cleared up.
it can be said for all investors from the Arabs and foreigners, you enter now for it will be a golden opportunity for you.

I hope this all gets settled with out Incident. if these types of problems continue, I hope it does not run into Problems when it becomes ready for RV. Will we have to Prove where we bought dinar Or who gave dinar as gift? this could be very difficult situation if the authorities say we cant exchange without knowledge of where it originally came from, and into our hands.

hi this is Ali (dinartrade) The package is declared correctly on customs declarations (dinar notes) the worst thing they can do is send it back to us and we will again send it you where ever you would like us to or even have it hand deliver it to you in zurich.
