Hi everyone! I heard or read that the increase in the troops was with a stipulation of the passing of the HCL. It this true I only know of one mention and then nothing else about it. Does anyone know what the status on the increase in the troops is at now.

Wasn't it only 2wks ago that it was written that Kurdistan after Barzani was in Bahgdad for a month or several weeks - that the KRG would be in reciept of about 17% of the Proposed budget, and that they were in agreement that the CGOI would oversee the development and dispersement of funds to the entire nation of Iraq. WHAT has change - beside their minds again.

I could be wrong, but I heard somewhere it would be 85,000 troops but they need 125,000 at least. Nidya

OK, everyone remember a month or two ago when the pot was beginning to boil, and the RolClub was on a serious ROLL??

Well, I do. And then the hijinx started and Marek was forced to change software, and ultimately servers in order to fend off the attackers.

What went with that was the original "feel" of our humble home here. Kinda like moving into a new home, it didn't feel quite right.

Now, after the smoke has cleared and things have settled down, Marek's moving van showed up with the "Thank You" button and I just read that the "Shout Box" is back as well!

Couple that with the juicy news coming down the pike, and DD's awesome "Raising The Value Of The Dinar" thread and our fun little icons like and and I must say it sure feels like Home Again!

I have tried to look at this investment in all angles and not close myself off to any info. But I have run this through my brain over and over and I do not see the slow and grow method working. I know they could still do most of there business in Dollars but they would be opening themselves up to Dollarisation and that would kill there currency. They have also stated that they plan on using Dinar as the Country's main currency. And so they should. They have also stated that they intend to increase the auction rate so they can make the 2007 budget from Dinars. So it dose not sound like they plan on risking Dollariseation.

Now I posted a very in depth point of view stating all of my opinions of why I can not see a slow and grow and pointing out a lot of reasons I have to believe that a RV would have to happen. I posted many times and the only response I got was from a one liner post stating that I believed some of the news contradicts itself a lot of the time. I got a reply stating "That is incorrect they have stated there plan which was the 1260 article" My point is when there is so much news even on the TV news that points to positive things why do they cling on to the very few articles that say they plan on a slow and grow approach.

I just do not get it am I missing something. Because they can never debate my opinions that go passed one line and it always consists of two things 1) being this article or old IMF info says this is what is going to happen. or my personal favorite 2) That's my opinion and I am sticking with it. What opinion you did not give one.

I looked over there because I was desparate for info and hoped there might be some there. I didn't join though because I saw the same "half empty" approach you did and the lack of detail as to how they arrive at this "slow, only slow approach". I saw your posts and the responses and said to myself..... Nope , ain't gonna join this forum. I'll wait for Rolclub to come back.

Now, as far as what you said in the above post I agree wholeheartedly with you. I have been over, under and around this topic and I cannot see any way of acheiving their goals without a "major" reval of some sort. 1260, 1200, 1000, etc just won't cut it in my opinion.
