    Default Codeine Addiction

Hello everyone. I am currently tapering off of cocodomol. I was taking up to 10 a day, spoke to my doctor when I realised that I had a problem and she agreed on tapering. It didn’t go so well and I missed that warm feeling, being at peace and all the wonderful things it brings.

I then found Nurofen plus when I could no longer get cocodomol. I was taking up to 24 a day. I have a hiatus hernia and stomach issues, my daughter was noticing what I was doing and I just wanted to stop. I know what they do / can do and I’m surprised that my liver and kidneys aren’t bad but bloods showed that they were fine.

Again, I told another doc who said “stop taking them”. I wasn’t honest about how many I was taking so I don’t blame her response.

Fast forward to now and I’ve managed to get down to 6 a day. I feel dreadful and am currently off sick due to a shoulder injury. I’m trying so hard. Between sleep/baths/trying to read etc. I don’t wAnt these things in my body and have a sick line for another week and I’m trying so hard to go back to work without having to take them.

Any one able to offer any help? Thank you.

I'm sorry that you have to go through such an unpleasant and difficult experience. The reality is that even from medications that should help a person cope with the disease, there are dependence and side effects. Even though you have already achieved some success in the process of giving up this drug, I would advise you to contact the clinic fherehab.com. Detoxification under the supervision of specialists is much more effective and even faster. After a few weeks, you will be able to feel freedom from the constant use of this medication. The main thing is to understand that you need it.
