I don’t have a car right now and will be traveling a bit and I’m wandering if I could pay for rental insurance thorough an insurance company rather than the one offered by the car rental dealership. Does such policy exist? Only for car rentals?

Some insurance companies do have some offers for young drivers or employees. Yes... You have to find the right company, they don't all think about poor people or poor teenagers. My wife got her license at 40 and we were looking for some cheap company relying on a decent selection on insurance companies. We found a good company that can save us money and I recommend it to you.
