Gunlight or Flashlight?

So. Soon I will become a new gun owner: Yes, one of the "ones"!

I will have 2 settings: one for range, and the other, when hg is stored at home, for HD.

This is a "clean" 1911, without rails-this is what I wanted against buying a TRP. Although, to be honest, I looked at FNX first, but it's not on CA shitster, so I went for DW instead, because I can!

I don't need a laser because I'm not a terminator, I'm not in law enforcement, and I don't compete (I assume they all use lasers). However, I need a light for HD. So I bought one of these CC3S on Deadzon (I hate Amazon, s. o.r.r.y), and now I'm buying a gun.

I read reviews (I understand this) on various sites, but since I have my own account on G&G, I thought I'd ask you guys (and girls). So here are my 2 dilemmas:

Call me stupid. I watched Bosch yesterday, and both he and the LAPD (in the series) only use separate flashlights. Now Bosch is using a 1911 Kimber, while the other guy is using a Glock, I think... anyway: what is better to say practically? connected or disabled? I need something to blind the invader.
While I enjoy reading reviews, I somewhat dislike that they are all redirected to Deadzon and that most of them are made in f*** * * g China. I don't mind reviewers doing this, but I wonder if all the reviews cover everything I need to know about. +, I would like to buy something made in the US, like the g. u. n. that I just bought. In this day and age, the best way to fight a good fight is to buy a local, real local impo.
