I wrote to GoldEx asking why they do not trade with LR.
Below is the answer I got. I do respect GoldEx, but then
I am using LR a lot, like many of you. What do you think??

GoldEx wants to protect its customer's interests, as well as
our own reputation, and impeccable record.
Despite repeated attempts, we have not been able to verify
the identity, nor whereabouts of Liberty Reserve's
beneficiary owners, Directors, and Managers, nor have we
ever been able to verify Liberty Reserve's financial
backing, despite the fact that we are one of the most
respected, and long established Exchangers...
Therefore, offering exchanges for Liberty Reserve could
(would) be - rightly - seen, or interpreted by authorities
worldwide as "facilitating, or participating in money
laundering".
GoldEx obviously does not do, nor want that, nor do we want
to participate in any of that in any way: We want to protect
our own reputation, as well as our customers' interests, and
therefore we do not want to, and will not exchange Liberty
Reserve until such verification will have been made possible
(if ever...).
Additionally, GoldEx only trades Gold, and Liberty dollar is
merely fiat based payment system.
For all of the above reasons, GoldEx strongly encourages
people NOT TO use Liberty Reserve, or even open an account
with them.
