I am very new to owning an alpaca (5 months). My herd was very healthy until recently I lost one due to what we consider an ulcer. This alpaca had negative feces, and at times during his illness he became dehydrated. During the two weeks that he was ill, he took quite a lot of medications, and then I noticed that he had foamy urine.

So, today, as an oversensitive observer of the rest of the herd, I noticed today that another has foamy urine. His first morning urine was frothy. I haven't observed it another time yet. Otherwise, he seems normal. They all seem a little depressed since Eddie died, but nothing that I think would indicate illness until I saw the foam.

I'm taking a stool sample today to check this animal for parasites, but I thought I'd ask if anyone would suspect anything else. I also ask my vet.
