I need a router that can do more than just a standard Virgin Media hub. It will be mainly used for SOHO so that the kids can work at home (WFH) and have evening play classes while we are still working. Also, since it will be used for my small office, remote access such as VPN should be supported (at least 1-2 tunnels).
Broadband speeds of up to 1 GB, DDNS, VPN, the usual firewall settings and NAT are expected for Raspberry Pi projects, such as a web server or a smart home.
Any recommendations on the Wi-Fi router are welcome. Please post your router model used, what it is used for and why it is used to help me choose the best model. The price can exceed 130 pounds, but the range is up to 400 pounds. Thanks!
