Hi, I'm doing some research on estimating fuel consumption during the construction planning phase, and I'd like to know if anyone has come across an industry-standard, guideline, or recommendation for estimating downtime, utilization rates, or any operational aspects that affect overall fuel consumption.

Oh wow, I've been doing some research myself. It is an interesting topic in my opinion. Sadly I don't have any friends to talk with me about it. I found out that it is almost impossible to estimate. You just have to know it I guess? It is very subjective. I've asked my husband a several times but he seems to not know either. It's kinda funny for me.
