Visitors always visit Sapa in the summer; however, if you have opportunity to visit Sapa in the winter, you will find out Sapa in the winter is very interesting.
At the height of 1.600m above the sea surface, Sapa is as small Dalat in the West-Northern. From 30s of the previous century, French chose Sapa as a tourism destination, with luxurious villas and romantic road among peach and plum gardens.Sapa is always covered by fog – fog city. However, in the winter, the fog is thicker, which makes everythings there is more myterious. Everywhere is fog, which likes a thin and greyish chiffon.
Sapa town with many houses loom in the fog. Some ancient palace among modern villas of West architecture, located on highway or at hillside.
The roads in the town are verybeautiful. Many old “samu” trees on two sides of road are still green in spite of being cold and fog. Small town with many types of goods: souvenirs, clothes, shoes, toys… Almost of them are imported from China, only the procade products with strange and unique decoration are made by skillful hands of ethnic women.
In the winter, Ham Rong destination likes a sleeping princess, which is very beautiful and much myterious. Walking on small roads among ranges of stone with bizarre shape, sightseeing apricot trees, peach trees being quiet in the mist, visitors suddenly feel to lost in a virtual world. There are some small procade shops with many colors among grey fog and rock. Not all of flowers evades winter, the white apricot is still equanimity to flyaway in the wind. Daisy is bright yellow, convolvulus is still purple. Sapa’s night market is full of attractive and delicious food. In the warm stilt houses, visitors can enjoy special items: ethic songs, dance…
