These two operating systems can operate successfully with everyone universally. The main system difference is in the software provided for server data. Both operating systems have the ability to transfer data between the host and the client, but UNIX is a bit more stable than Windows in this feature and it can run for years without a shut down, and re-boot. Windows however will meet most website requirements and software packages more easily than UNIX. Windows is also easier to use for the client.
Wherever Microsoft products are in service a Windows operating system must be used. If the host uses MS Access, ASP in order to provide dynamic content, or VB Script to give enhanced features to the sites then UNIX is not able to operate under those parameters. The technologies in those programs require Microsoft Windows. Windows also already accommodates all of the UNIX system provisions so it isn't needed for computers with Windows.

Hello Friends..........
UNIX
1.Higher costs across the board
Many older UNIX systems have become very expensive to maintain and upgrade. While newer UNIX systems are closer to the price / performance of Windows, costs for software and UNIX IT skills drive TCO significantly higher than Windows Server.
2.Scalable, reliable, and secure—if maintained
UNIX systems are considered highly reliable and secure for most enterprise scenarios however as existing UNIX platforms age, customers experience a lower level of reliability, scalability and security due to hardware limitations and issues with out-of-date software.
Windows Server :
1.Market leading TCO and business value
When faced with replacing UNIX, many customers find Windows Server-based solutions can be significantly less expensive to purchase and maintain than typical UNIX solutions. In addition, Windows Servers provide better business value through increased productivity, reduced operations complexity and broader use of IT.
2.Enterprise-class reliability and performance
Microsoft has made major investments in making Windows Server truly enterprise ready. Windows Server is now considered by many customers to meet or exceed the reliability, scalability and security found in enterprise UNIX systems.
Thanks
