Default No rate change in almost 2 weeks

I may not post often, but I do watch the rates and read the news constantly...Has anyone else noticed that this is (from what I've seen) the only time that so many laws have been passed and debts forgiven, but did not show any difference in the exchange rate(almost two weeks now)? I know they supposedly 'froze' the rate for a short period of time, but still...after watching the rates and news for two years, this seems odd to me.

If I am wrong then feel free to correct me...But insults are not necessary.

I wouldn't insult you even if you asked me to! LOL

But yes, it is unusual. Probably it will be like that until they figure out how to implement the "New CBI Monetary Policy"..we'll see...:)

240 the rates being frozen aren't really unusual, but you are right, the fact that we've had so much happen in regards to economic progress this past few weeks does make it strange that nothing significant has happened with the rates, i'm hoping they are just waiting to surprise the heck out of us with a final announcement on a big adjustment!

Hope to have this look on my face with an announcement soon, already.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

NO INSULTS! Well cause you asked nicely ok LOLOLOL.
I feel they are stabilizing and getting things in order. They are singing oil contracts and such. I don't think they would give away there resources
that low. This may be the best thing for us. The calm before the storm.
I have always read that it would go like this. But only they know IMHO.

    Thanks

I believe they are keeping the rates stable for now to stop the confusion that it causes for all of the markets when they drop the rate 1 or 2 points every day. A few dinar hear and there probably means a lot more to the average Iraqi than it does to us. I still don't understand why they didn't set the rate at 1260 like there budget was set up for, maybe this Monday they will finally do that, but I am hopeing for so much more than a 12 dinar drop as I'm sure everyone else is as well.
