As I consider a lot of folk on here as friends just wanted to wish you all including Bryan and Sharon a merry xmas and a happy new year! Reckon it'll be a good one too for us. ;0)

Gee, can we still say Merry Christmas in USA? Ho, ho, ho, if not, then Happy Holidays. We must be politically correct or else uncle Sam will be investigating us. LOL Is there any issues with saying Merry Chirstmas in UK Adam?

Well, here I am, my old nit-picking self. If you remember, a few years ago there was a big campaign where they advocated "Let's put Christ back into Christmas." Now most thought that was because it had gotten so commercialized, but that was only part of it. It was also because so many was writing it "Xmas". In that situation, where did Christ go? It is Christmas, and if He isn't important enough to spend the extra effort to write the additional five letters, then He isn't important enough to have His own day. Just my humble opinion.

Find that totally bizarre really do, it is xmas and for hundreds of years people have been saying 'merry xmas', why should that stop now. To be honest, it's not a big deal in the UK, people are still saying it without issues.

Afraid we're getting into an age where everything has to be 'pc'. What a load of crap!!

I wanted to let you know bbhawk about Xmas. I used to feel the same way about not spelling it out, but recently I found out "X" is Roman for Christ so that is why Xmas is used. Most people are not aware of that so this is " the rest of the story" as Paul Harvey would say.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all especially Bryon & Sharon. May 2006 be a lot brighter for us all!
