Default Seeking Advice for Overcoming Triathlon Anxiety

Hey folks, I'm gearing up for my first triathlon, and I'm feeling the nerves kicking in big time. I've been training hard physically, but mentally, I'm struggling to stay calm and focused. I've heard that working with a sports psychology consultant can really help in situations like this. Can anyone recommend a good one who specializes in triathlons? And if you have any personal experiences or success stories to share, I'd love to hear them! Thanks in advance for the support!

Hey there! First off, big kudos for tackling your first triathlon! It's completely normal to feel those nerves – it's part of the thrill, right? I totally get where you're coming from; the mental game can be just as tough as the physical one.

While I haven't personally worked with a sports psychology consultant, I've heard some solid feedback from friends who have. One name that keeps popping up is sport psychology consultant They seem to specialize in triathlons specifically, which could be super beneficial for someone gearing up for their first race.

As for personal experiences, I remember my first triathlon vividly. I was a bundle of nerves at the starting line, questioning if I'd trained enough and if I had what it takes to finish. But as soon as the race started, something clicked. I focused on the rhythm of my breathing, the sound of my feet hitting the pavement, and before I knew it, I was in the zone. Crossing that finish line was one of the most exhilarating moments of my life, nerves and all.
