ATM network for faraway districts of Philippines
n Philippines an automated teller machine (ATM) operated by Nationlink in the municipality of Murcia is at the present time serving 50 customers daily and this number is increasing.
Three big ATM financial networks – Bancnet, Megalink and Expressnet are connected via Internet to this ATM. Thereby the ATM operates like a 'mini banking system' and customers are automatically charged P20 for every transaction but a balance inquiry remains free.

E-commerce Platform from LaGarde
E-commerce solutions provider LaGarde is launching a Phoenix Platform. It is a Net-based software-as-a-service e-commerce platform.
On June 3 LaGarde announced Phoenix to be a Web-based transaction system that can do order management, catalog management, checkout and back-office tasks. Moreover, according to the words of LaGarde, Phoenix is designed to handle the unique business methodologies and characteristics of midmarket enterprises while remaining easy to maintain. He noted that maintainability issues with such platforms rise “as custom solutions tend to become one-off solutions that take a longer time to deploy." On the other hand, Phoenix is an end-to-end, modular solution that can be expanded without developing "islands of one-off solutions."

Google is against PayPal only policy
A very interesting news was found on auctionbytes.com concerning eBay’s “PayPal only policy”. eBay Australia replied to a May 26th submission to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), which is inquiring into eBay's PayPal-only policy.
