Thread: How do I fix audio issues with AV equipment at an event venue?

Running an event this weekend and the audio setup is driving me up the wall. Half the mics keep cutting in and out, and the speakers randomly hiss like a snake with an attitude. I thought it was just bad cables, swapped a bunch, still the same weird behavior. The venue swears everything worked yesterday, but I’m starting to think their gear is haunted. I’m no audio engineer, just trying to keep this thing from turning into a silent disco. Anyone got tricks, checks, or quick fixes I can try before I lose my mind?

I’d check for loose power or ground issues, then test each mic and speaker on a known-good channel. I’ve fixed similar dropouts by moving wireless units away from Wi-Fi gear.
