And for the record...the person who identified himself earlier in this thread as "Queb" of the "Foreign Ministry of Sweden", used a term that is almost exclusively related to the American judicial system -- not "Sweden's" or Malaysia's -- i.e., his reference to the "State's" attorney that he/his "ministry" would get in touch with on our behalf if we asked him to. Whoever this American is (I'm convinced he's American) that is identifying himself as "Queb" of the "Foreign Ministry of Sweden", ought to be ashamed of himself. A number of his countrymen and their families are having serious financial (as well as physical and emotional) problems due to the demise of Pips, and they should be prayed for...not played for fools.
If my dear friend, Barbara, said it to me once, she said it a hundred times: "Oh, _ _, when I can start making my withdrawals from Pips, I won't ever have to be afraid again to see the winter coming." Last Thursday the winter came for Barb, despite all of her hopes and dreams...as the pallbearers slowly lowered her into the frozen Midwestern ground.

I think you have misunderstood the post from Queb a little. He was just referring to some e-mail he had.
You are right in one thing though...he is not posting from Sweden...

I will delete all the "off-topic" posts and related sub posts linked to them found in this thread.

Some swedish pips-loaners have asked their embassy in Malaysia to contact Bank Negara for them and that was the answer they got. Or at least part of it. The english/american terms (like "State Attorney") only appeared in the english translation. The person who translated it should probably have mentioned that it was the "equivalent" of what americans know as the State attorney's office.
I hope this helped.
PS! OMG, what rumors and mistrust it creates when people (mis)quote things out of context.
I was just wondering does it take a embassy official to get info about the investigation? I would think that if they are able to give that info to an embassy I would think it would be public info. (just wondering what people think about that)
Trapper... what would be more efficient: one embassy with a source and sort of a good relationship between them... on which basis reliable info is released now and then... or tens of people each on their own calling BON or whatever at random, causing more damage than good :fryingpan? Please... be GLAD with the situation we have now. It makes already much more info public (and faster) than I would have ever dreamed of:thumbsup:. So I see no reason to complain whatsoever.
(that is what I think )
