Question for the folks who participated in the DBR Synergistic pools...

Obviously, by reading Bryan's comment on DBR, he has taken the 'DBR was a separate entity from PIPS' route, even though most of us know that our pooled funds were placed into PicPay through Gary Nichols while he was still a PIPS employee. It was placed there for inclusion in the 3% Program for when it launched....but it never launched. Eric from DBR even has a receipt showing this.. but, no one at PIPS is fessing up to what happened to the funds....

So... what do you folks think our next step should be?

I believe the next step is to sit back and wait for the investigation to be over. Obviously since the funds have been placed in PIPS/PicPay pending the 3% program launch there is no way to access the pooled funds just like as own personal accounts. No access and no way of withdrawing at present.

I guess I don't understand. DBR opened a 2% pool account waiting to be in line for the 3% to launch, so where are the monies? ..... In a 2% Pips account, under investigation like the rest of the Pips members accounts.

What next step is there except to wait for the investigation to be over?

I do feel that it is extremely unfair of DBR members to hold Eric responsible and accountable for a situation which is beyond his control in many respects, he did not set out on this venture to see it end badly and the story isn't over yet.

Totally unfair to blame thumper.He had discussed this 3% pool from day one with Gary who gave him the go ahead.I believe this was on the pips forum for over 4 months prior to the kick off date of Dec 2004.Obviously it never got started for reasons known only to Bryan.

Funds are still in PICPAY so nothing can be done by anybody at present.

DBR is as much at the mercy of BN as we are right now. All the money DBR had to invest is now locked up with the rest of our money. Only BN can change that now. What can we do?! :rolleyes:

Hey Folks I had 4grand invested in DBR , But I did so with my eyes wide open to thefact that it was not under PIPS or BM. So I would gladly donate what amounts to 4 days ROL on my Pips accts to see this investigation over and PIPS back on line. So I say lets just wait and see. (Just my two cents)

I will say at the Hawaii convention, Gary Nichol, told eric that everything was cool and looked forward to Dbr geting the pool registered and to that point encouraged him to still receive payment into dbr coffers, at that time dbr had 4.2 mil at that time when eric/thumper went to Maylasia he had accumaled 6.5 mil and then Gary Nichol or Bryan pulled the plug and Thumper was forced to turn over the 6.5 mil to Gary Nichol.I don't like any of this and like you and everyonelse involved with DBR, we will have to just wait and see and hope that our funds, I had over 11K in will be tied up with our picpay and not in Gary Nichols newest venture,

Nice post Benzboy.May I add that all thumpers got for all his efforts on behalf of the membership, is huge fines and a lot of aggrevation.When this is all resolved, I hope that some of us can help Thumper and co out.:wink:

I agree, I do not think thumper is to blame.
But if funds given to Gary disappear, Gary could be in a lot of trouble.

3% PROGRAM:

1. Livefree: What is the status of the millions of dollars invested by the various pools like DBR and others just before the sites went down?

3% program was NOT implemented PIPS, these were independent operations.

From the above quote to my understanding, this doesn't necessary means PIPS didn't receive the 6.5 million dollars from DBR or that it is not in Picpay/2% program. If Eric/Thumper has a receipt for our account with Picpay than our account should be treated just like any other Picpay account after the BN investigation is over.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.I remember the last post of thumper that I read titled "THE GOOD,THE BAD,THE UGLY"It was written there the shock and disappointment thumper felt when he went to Malaysia office and talked to Gary Nichol (it was a long post explaining the details about their conversation regarding 3% program)Gary Nichol assured thumper that refunds will be done,from mother account(DBR picpay)to each of the members' picpay accounts and these can only be done by GN himself since he was in charge with these part,he(thumper)gave him(GN) the necessary papers.So I guess,thumper's hands are clean,I just am not sure if GN was able to fix them legally or whatever.So this is one of the questions that awaits an answer.Was the 3% program money ever landed the picpay vault? I see a lot of you saying not to blame Thumper.. which I agree with. I hope I didn't imply in my first post that I blamed Thumper. If I did, I didn't mean to.

I was really referring to Bryan's comment in the "Some Answers" post. When the subject of DBR came up in the past, different people affiliated with PIPS has said 'those pools were independent operations, and are not related to PIPS'. Bryan basically said the same thing. That's not the answer I was really expecting from Bryan. So, I was slightly stunned.

I do agree that Gary has LOTS of explaining to do...but, I can't get to him for some reason.

We all have unanswered questions and with the present situation we are into,it's just a normal feeling.Again,please someone correct me if I'm wrong.DBR is an independent company that was in charge of the pooling for the 3% program since the start up capital was not affordable for the average member.And GN was the first to agree with the idea since he said $$M was just sitting in picpay,if the plan would materialize,even small guys would be gaining through its paricipation.Since the 3% program was stopped,thumper gave GN all the documents needed for refund process.So responsiblities re:refunds were all handed to GN by thumper.What I am not sure of is...Was Bryan aware of all these?

That sums it up exactly.Since the programme was in the pips forum for months,Bryan must have known about it.Gary was in charge of the funds and repayments however.

Lets hope we have earnt the 2% bonus on our loans via DBR.:cheers:

bryan is and was ceo...the buck stops there....he is responsible for the DBR money......pips has it...bryan is pips....I just hope BON is aware of this....bryan cant keep the 6 million dollars.......if he thinks he has troubles now,,,,,,1000 membres of DBr on a rampage......not a happy picture... however it is up to someone........now to perhaps take a trip and find out what bryan actually intends to do with that money........we were told it would not benefit any of the members...because it was illegal to pool,,,,,,,,however........refunds are expected.........most paid in cash. not picpay........

With a risk at getting into a battle scene during the holiday season. Bryan stood up at the potium in Las Vegas, during the Las Vegas convention, and made a public statement that he did not feel that grouping the members to do the 3% program was going to work, as the funds being put into the 3% program would have to be 'verified' clean and the sources would need to be certified, and the 3% program signed for in person. Now, never did Bryan make a statement in the forum or in one of his posts approving of the grouping of monies for the 3% program. It is very sad that these people took it on themselves with little approval to jump start ahead of the group. I feel for each and every member who joined one of these programs, and if you remember in the forum, there were posts from other member 'pleeding' with members not to join these groups, that they 'HAD NOT' been approved by Bryan. If anything members should have learned while reading in the forum, if Bryan doesn't say it, it isn't so.

The funds were put into the 2% program while waiting for the 3% to start. I believe I still have a copy of the e-mail where they told us this. It was an option and we had to tell them one way or the other what we wanted to do.

Azmia: Not everyone got to hear Bryan in Las Vegas and if this is the case, then he should have made it clear, with rules, before people went ahead and sent in their money to be approved by Gary Nichol. Or, was he just waiting to see how far things would go, like he has done before???

I am sick and tired of people trying to blame others for everything...it is about time that someone took responsibility for this whole mess. Anyone want to step up to the plate???

I also heard the same conversation in Las Vegas - along with 499 others and I have the DVD to remind me whenever I need reminding. I also saw the pleas on the old Pips forum 'not to do it'....but they did. More and more groups (DBR isn't the only one) and their monies were collected by the various group leaders and PUT INTO A 2% PIPS FUND where they remain to this day, since the refunds to each Pipsters account was never done. Management had to refund the 5YTP and Merchant Accounts first, which they were doing, up till the arrival of BN.

The big mistake in this whole thing was to give people the news of the possibility of the system ahead of time, and the other was to take money from non-Pipsters. Step up to the plate? How about we all face the fact that we are all responsable for our own actions and we took the decision (or not) to invest with Pips and then with one of these groups of our own free will. Personally, I gifted my account back to Eric so if he could make it work, he would have a little more for that hospital that he wanted to donate to sick children and if he couldn't - well, it was one thing less for him to worry about.

I doubt that Bryan is even aware of how many groups there are - since not all the leaders for sure went to present their credentials like DBR.
