I lost money. I joined in August '04 and got out half of what I put in.
Maybe I should stick my Pips Bistro coffee mug on Ebay... lol.

eman!
I hear and read what you are saying!....but you are not talking like a wise man!
hine
nej, I am sorry to hear that you did not get out of pips as much as you had hoped but it looks like you were one of those who joined too late. The payments stopped coming November/December 2004. Better luck next time but at least you did get something back.
Thank you, hine, but much as I have tried, I fail to see the wisdom of your position either. You and others in here are kicking a man who has tried to help the world's population from scratch. He made mistakes along the way but that's all. It is all the clamouring by people, many of whom were not members of pips and for their own very selfish reasons, notably Owen Platt, pounced on these mistakes. This is what eventually invoked the Central Bank thereby playing Pips into the hands of the greedy banking fraternity who covetted Pips business. You now have to take their 4% interest per year and show them gratitude for that.
Looks to me, hine , that you are currently reading this forum. Good for you.

Hi eman,
I have looked high and low in order to make an unbiased opinion of
who Bryan really is and what Bryan was really trying to accomplish.
Early on Bryan was "The Man", IMO, when it came to fulfilling the
dream I always hoped for.
As time progressed it appeared that "the dream that I had always
hoped for" had a few interruptions. I attributed the interruptions to
the "no goods" that wanted to spoil the dream for those of us that
knew it was real.
I started looking into the "no goods", since I just knew that they had to
have much power and authority in order to bring down an organization
that had assets of approx. $700,000,000.
Well guess what, those being accused really did not have, IMO, enough
authority much less the power to bring down such an organization.
So, now back to Bryan, "He made mistakes along the way but that's all".
Was this really the case? (Time will tell)
As far as I am concerned...No this was not the case.
I began looking at Bryan's character, since that, to me, is important
when determining trust in someone. (Let it be noted that up until
this time I had not bothered to explore this, because I trusted what
others, as well as Bryan, had stated.)
There were a few things that came to light, but I will not expound
on all of them.
One thing that I came to accept early on was that Bryan would not
answer questions about Pips because of legal constraints. Sounded
somewhat fair enough, since I thought that the "no goods", with all
of the power and authority, would gain even more control if Bryan
started answering concerned Pipster's questions.
I was certain that this "legal advice" had come from the attorney
that had been afforded by the fundraiser for Bryan's legal defense.
I was a bit shocked when Bryan and Sharon appeared before the
court with no legal defense! Where was the attorney? There were rumors that
the funds went toward HaLotto, instead of the legal assistance. True? I don't
know for sure, but if they did go toward legal representation...again
where was the attorney at the time of Bryan and Sharon's arrest?
HaLotto.....Hmmmm.
I have my own opinions here as well. Think as you wish!
HaLotto up and disappeared without any communication from Bryan.
Once Bryan was exposed as Barry with 10x5 he decided to let the
10x5 members know that their HaLotto investments would
be moved to a "virtual trading" program within 10x5.
Question being.......
#1) What about the HaLotto investors that were not part of 10x5?
#2) What kept Bryan from contacting all of those that invested in the
HaLotto before he was exposed, and make the necessary compensation
of funds that had been invested?
As I said, I will not expound on all that I have looked at, but I have to
wonder.....was it really "He made mistakes along the way but that's all"??
I actually got my one and only payment in April 2005... the reason I got this was because I've got (well, had) relatives in Malaysia. I transferred my picpay to their picpay account, they did the WD which took them about 3 weeks and then they wired it to me.
Funny how people in Malaysia were getting WD's... obviously it was done to keep the locals off their backs.
I was going to make a more substantial WD in this method, but BM closed picpay-to-picpay transfers, so I couldn't. The reason given was that some locals were profiting by charging people for doing this. Of course, most people would have been more than happy to have paid extra to get their money. The real reason was that there was not enough money to pay out to everyone so this was unsustainable.
I had approx 10 times my "investment" in pending WD's to my own account.
Agreed,
This is how I see it as well. When you look at the person, he put on a good act, but he was sleezy as the come. Not only in the fact of lying to everyone, but to pay out to Malaysians and not everyone else says it all. The HAlotto is another perfect example, only selected few were informed he was Barry in 10X5, so there was never any ethics, he was always a scammer, period.
As to the opinions of him being the victim of banks or establishment, that is rubbish, he couldn't open an account as he was being blackballed for being a suspected scammer, just as I had learned from my contact at HSBC NYC head of security, so this is where it all began to unfold and the truth was obvious, this was indeed a scam. It makes no difference who got there money out or who didn't, a scammer is a scammer, and no matter which side of fence you are on, in profit or at a loss, you still should be pissed, and I am.
Good luck to all, MIke
This is all based on your opinion, right? That's good. An opinion is better than the selfapointed pundits spreading their version of the truth(and then bundling it and trying to sell it to you). You're still interested in the outcome of the trial as am I. Let's wait and see.
