    Daily Market Commentary for September 1, 2010

    September

    Stocks rallied in the first trading session in September, with the Dow being up triple digits. (Read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

    Economic data released today:

    MBA Index:
    U.S. MBA Refinance Index rose 2.8% at 5,085.3; Last Week 4,944.7; U.S. MBA Purchase Index rose 1.8% at 173.6; Last Week 170.5; U.S. MBA Market Index rose 2.7% at 893.8; Last Week 870.3.

    ADP Nonfarm Employment Change:
    ADP August U.S. Private Sector Jobs fell 10,000; ADP August U.S. Private Sector Jobs Expected to increase by 17,000.

    ISM Manufacturing Index:
    U.S. ISM August Manufacturing PMI 56.3 versus July 55.5; U.S. ISM August Manufacturing PMI Expected 52.5; U.S. ISM August Prices Index 61.5 versus July 57.5; U.S. ISM August Employment Index 60.4 versus July 58.6; U.S. ISM August New Orders Index 53.1 versus July 53.5; U.S. ISM August Production Index 59.9 versus July 57.0; U.S. ISM August Inventories Index 51.4 versus July 50.2; U.S. ISM August Inventories Index 51.4 versus July 50.2.

    U.S. Refineries Ran at 87.0% capacity; Seen 87.60%; U.S. Refineries Ran at 87.0% capacity versus 87.7% capacity Week Ago; U.S. Distillate Stockpiles fell 0.739 Million Barrels in Week; Was Seen increasing by 1.1 Million Barrels; U.S. Distillate Stockpiles fell 0.739 Million Barrels at 175.235 Million Barrels; U.S. Gasoline Stockpiles fell 0.212 Million Barrels in Week; Was Seen decreasing by 0.2 Million Barrels; U.S. Gasoline Stockpiles fell 0.212 Million Barrels at 225.405 Million Barrels; U.S. Crude Oil Stockpiles rose 3.425 Million Barrels in Week; Was Seen increasing by 0.8 Million Barrels; U.S. Crude Oil Stockpiles rose 3.425 Million Barrels At 361.707 Million Barrels.
