Chinese Officials

Stocks rallied today when Chinese officials said they have no plans to stop investment in European bonds. (Read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

1Q Corporate Profits rose 9.7% versus an Advance by 8.2% in 4Q; 1Q Prelim Chain-Weighted Price Index rose 1.0% versus an Advance by 0.9%; 1Q Prelim Core PCE Price Index rose 0.6% versus an Advance by 0.6%; 1Q Prelim Purchases Price Index rose 1.7% versus an Advance by 1.7%; 1Q Prelim PCE Price Index rose 1.5% versus an Advance by 1.5%; U.S. 1Q GDP Consensus rose 3.4%; 1Q Prelim Real Final Sales rose 1.4% versus an Advance by 1.6%.

Initial Jobless Claims:
U.S. Week May 15 Continuing Claims fell 49K to 4,607,000; U.S. Week May 15 Jobless Claims Revised to 474K from 471K; U.S. Jobless Claims fell14K to 460K in Week of May 22; Compared to Survey of a decrease by 16K.
