Highest Foreclosure Rate

RealtyTrac reported the highest foreclosure rate of 2009 this morning. (Read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

Economic data released today:

Retail Sales:
U.S. December Retail & Food Sales fell 0.3%; compared to consensus of an increase by 0.5%; U.S. December Retail & Food Sales Ex-Autos fell 0.2%; November Retail & Food Sales Revised to rise 1.8% from an increase by 1.3%.

Initial Jobless Claims:
U.S. Jobless Claims for week of January 9 rose 11K to 444K; compared to survey of a decrease by 4K; U.S. Continuing Claims for week of January 2 fell 211K to 4,596,000; U.S. Jobless Claims Revised for week of January 2 to 433K from 434K.

Import Price Index:
U.S. December Import Prices remain unchanged; compared to consensus of an increase by 0.1%; U.S. December Non-Petroleum Import Prices rose 0.5%; U.S. December Petroleum Import Prices fell 2.0%.

Business Inventories:
U.S. November Business Inventories rose 0.4%; was expected to increase by 0.3%; November Inventory/Sales Ratio 1.28, Down from 1.30 in October.
