Thread: Transparency and credibility of factual facts

The books of the New Testament were written by people with an excellent grasp of Koine Greek, so it is very likely that they spoke Greek in their daily lives as a first language. References made to the Old Testament are consistently to the Greek Septuagint (LXX), not to the Hebrew scriptures, providing good evidence that the authors were familiar with the Greek source rather than the Hebrew source. The gospel authors did not claim to have been inspired by God, None of the New Testament authors knew Jesus. None of the New Testament authors knew anyone who had known Jesus and who could help him write about Jesus. The four New Testament gospels are attributed to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, but were originally anonymous until attributed to them by he Church Fathers later in the second century. The general epistles are variously attributed to James, Peter, John and Jude, but most scholars dispute at least some of these attributions. The authors of Matthew and Luke certainly elaborated on what they received from Mark’s Gospel as well as adding further material of doubtful origin. On the one hand, they probably believed in the substance of Mark’s Gospel, but were not averse to adding material they knew not to be literally true.

I find it hard to believe that the author of John actually believed that his sources were entirely factual or that he intended to write a gospel that was a true narrative of Jesus. The most common reason people doubt the historical accuracy of stories like the creation and flood in the Bible, is that we now know that these stories do not describe what really happened. We can also see parallels between the biblical myths and earlier Mesopotamian myths that could have inspired those in the Bible. We know that the apostle Paul wrote the epistles now known as Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Philemon, Galatians, Philippians and 1 Thessalonians. Other epistles attributed to him but rejected by most New Testament scholars as inauthentic are: 2 Thessalonians, Ephesians, Colossians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus. Also at one stage, Hebrews was attributed to Paul but he was so clearly not the author that this attribution is rarely discussed. The apostle Paul seems to have genuinely believed in Jesus, to the extent that he sincerely believed that Jesus would return in his own lifetime. I suppose the fact that the parousia did not come true means that he was, to at least some extent, deluded. It is unlikely that Paul did have that experience on the road to Damascus, as portrayed no less than three times in Acts of the Apostles By and large, we do not know who wrote the New Testament, but we do know that the books that now form the New Testament were all written by the middle of the second century.

Have you read quran? If not please read it. Read it thoroughly, with concentration to understand. Try to analyze the varses one by one. The book has stood the test of time. It was revealed 1400 years ago. Still every part,word, alphabet of the Quran has been maintained in its true form as it was revealed. Even today no two quran in any corner in the world would differ a single word. Historic copies of the quran would be found the same. So primarily, the book was not changed or modified never in the past decades no matter what and significantly because it did not need to be changed. Everything in the quran was applicable 1400 years ago and is still applicable today without any modification which is a miracle in itself. Secondly, if anyone would like to question the quran, he/she has the freedom to prove one of its statements to be false. A lot of geographical, scientific, astronomical and historic statements...... etc have been made in the quran. All they have to do is prove otherwise. However, history is proof that the best of scientists, historians, doctors and philisophers could not prove a single statement false.

Christmas is the Pagan ritual entered into the religion through the church in 325 AD by Constantine in Constantinople. The birth of Jesus was in mid-summer rather than winter of solstices which was the invention of the Pagans to worship “SUN” being born (raised) on 25th December, as they worship Sun so they thought that Sun has died on 23rd December because of shortest day, suddenly when sun was lifted up on 25th December they overjoyed and believed that the “SUN” has born on 25th of December and from that day this cult was entered. Two verses from the Quran and Bible show that the birth of Jesus was in mid-summer not in winter Solstices. The Quran says in chapter Maryam 19:25: And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you. In this verse, Allah was commanding Mary, mother of Jesus, through an Angel to go to Palm tree and shake the trunk and dates will fall thereof then eat them and get refreshed in your pangs and throes. Now if you meet any horticulturist he will tell you that the dates always fall in mid-summers.

Now let us analyze the Bible. Luke 2:8 “And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.” Ask these Christian missionaries why were shepherds looking at their flocks in 25th December at night time? When at that time it happened to be much cold in the open field that the flocks could freeze to death. Those days were not like these days as there was a city heat of vehicles and industries. Then we are told that when Jesus was born three kings came to visit the child by following the star from the east. How come in the winter nights stars can be seen? As we know that the mist, fog and smoke cover the sky in winters. So we can conclude that Bible is not giving the specific date neither the Quran but the hint is there that it was summer time not winter. The tradition was added by the Church in 325 AD regarding the names like Easter Day, Eucharist and Christmas etc.

it is impossible to omit or forget the violent events that are fully part of the gospel. Was it not Jesus himself who announced in parables the urgency of a choice which is radical and therefore violent, as in the text of the homicidal winegrowers where they kill the son of the owner to steal the inheritance? after molesting the servants he had sent to his vineyard. reading the New Testament confronts any reader with an open violence that culminates in the arrest of Jesus, the mockery of his iniquitous trial, his torture on Golgotha and his death. We can clearly see why Jesus aroused so many hostile reactions. "I did not come to bring peace, but the sword" (Mt 10,34). You clearly see in the Jesus of the Bible this awareness of putting in crisis by his words and his actions the usual ways of relating to the Law, to the religious institutions of the time, and ultimately to the tradition of the fathers. To remember the violence of the New Testament is to step into a dangerous tradition and bring it to life that endangers the lives of millions of Jews. Do you believe that I have come to bring peace to this world? No. I did not come to bring peace, but the dagger. I have come to separate the son and the father, the daughter and the mother, the daughter-in-law and the mother-in-law. Who loves his father and mother more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And who does not follow in my footsteps, loaded with his cross, is not worthy of me either. Whoever wants to save his life will lose it. And whoever lost his life because of me will find it. (Mt 10,34-36) .. What more do you want ..

in all Muslim countries anyone who follows the events and the analysis of specialists knows that in these countries foreign forces are involved; Iraq it was an American lie it was they who started the war and it turned out that the reason put forward was a pure lie Lebanon is under several countries influencing in particular France ... Russia for Syria ... all and the weapons used are now known to have origins in non-Muslim countries why don't they leave these countries alone? they say it is to defend the citizens but what is the result? it can be seen that these are lies and that the goal is economic or strategic interests .. or against Islam quite simply not to let Islamic governments settle in foreign countries which have nothing to do with these countries except that they have interests and this under false reasons; Europe has gone through bloody wars and has come to understand that unity is strength; Muslim countries are going through stages for a metamorphosis but foreign forces do not let this process go through they are afraid
