Consumer Spending

Stocks were making modest gains early in the session after the latest report on consumer spending came in better than expected. (Read more at http://www.millennium-traders.com/ne...rSpending.aspx )

Economic data released today:

Core PCE Price Index:
February PCE Price Index rose 0.4% Rate on Month; rose 1.6% on Year; February PCE Core Price Index rose 0.2% Rate on Month; rose 0.9% on Year.

Personal Income:
January Personal Income Revised to +1.2% from +1.0%; U.S. Personal Income rose 0.3% in February; Compared to Consensus of an increase by 0.4%.

Personal Spending:
U.S. Personal Spending rose 0.7% in February; Compared to Consensus of an increase by 0.6%; January Spending Revised to rise 0.3% from +0.2%.

Pending Home Sales:
U.S. February Pending Home Sales fell 8.2% from February 2010; U.S. Pending Home Sales Index rose 2.1% to 90.8 in February.

Dallas Fed March Business Activity 11.5 versus February 17.5; Dallas Fed March Manufacturing Production Index 24.1 versus February 9.7.
