De La Rue Machine
Next-generation banknote counting machine launched by De La Rue
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 13, 2006 -- The new EV86-Series banknote counter launched this month could cut banknote processing time by up to 45%, resulting in substantial savings every year. By combining reliable feed, accuracy and speed De La Rue claims to offer its customer's unparalleled efficiency.
De La Rue's new Ultra Feed™ technology gives consistent, durable and reliable feeding of banknotes at a rate 20% faster than the competition. The counter is capable of handling notes of all design types, quality and condition constantly feeding notes without causing damage while providing users with a tidy counted stack.
At full speed the EV86-Series is capable of counting over 2000 notes per minute outperforming the leading competitors by up to 34% so claim De La Rue.
"We tested the EV86-Series for accuracy." states De La Rue Product Manager Gavin Doyle. "Our unique and market leading counting technology, Mechanical Double Detection™, outperformed the rival Opacity Doubles Detect technology by more than 100 times." explains Doyle. "Ultimately, it doesn't matter how many detectors a counter has, or how fast it is, if the notes do not feed well and the result is not accurate, it costs the user both time and money. The EV86-Series counts notes accurately the first time and every time." he adds.
The performance figures of the new counter seem credible as they were the result of extensive trials, both in banks around the world and at De La Rue's in-house laboratories. A huge range of currencies and environmental conditions were tested. "Our research shows that the EV86-Series delivers exactly what we intended - the best feeding and the most accurate machine out there." said Gavin Doyle.
"It's easy to see why this is a premium product that offers customers value for money, with a contemporary styling that complements the professional environment that our customers look to portray," concluded Gavin Doyle.
I just went on to E-Bay just to look and see what was going on and how many Items I could find.
I clicke on NID and went to paper money and coins and there were only 9 and I am not kidding ONLY 9 items that were shown.

I posted the above on 12/29 (Friday). Here's a quick status before I head out for the evening festivities.Quote:
I ordered some myself from Chase yesterday without issue. Will be picking up today (hopefully). If they tell me "sorry, here's your money back", that might be good news too.
I went by Chase on Friday to pick up the NID and was told by the same teller that helped me on the purchase that the delivery did not come in. She said perhaps the following day. So, I went by yesterday (Saturday) and again the same teller told me the package had not come in. This is the first time I have had a delivery issue when making a NID purchase. I hope this coincides with the availability issues that other members have posted about and turns out to be good news. Although, I WOULD like to get my NID. :ro_emote:
Heres wishing everyone a Happy and prosperous New Year.
She didn't elaborate. Not sure if it was counterfeiting or what. It would seem unlikely based on the security measures included in the new bills. It's interesting to me the different information that comes from all of the different Chase banks, not only where I am, but all over the country. JSFletcher seemed adamant that all Chase banks buy and sell. I think that they probably all have the ability to buy and sell, but may be given the latitude to choose whether they want to or not. I know for a fact there are locations here that will not sell. Don't know if we'll ever know the answer without talking to someone much higher up in the Chase food chain.
Here's to a happy and prosperous new year on Rolclub
JUST A QUICK QUESTION Regarding the DINAR. I keep Have seen refference in here about BoA. My question to ANYONE that can give a definative answer---IS BoA selling DINAR?
I went to the Local Branch and the tellers are young kids, and don't know a thing about the Dinar.
I went there last week . Has anything changed with BoA rules? BOB
The BofA is selling dinar to other banks but not to private individuals. That's where Chase, and Bank of Nova Scotia get theirs.
Bank of America, in the past has dealt the dinar only to other banks, even to banks in Canada. They stand fast in their unwillingness to deal dinar to the individual investor. I have tried on several occasions to no avail. The standard answer is "until it is traded internationally". But once that happens they will. When I call I lways talk to the branch mamager. My wife and I have opened accounts at BoA for when they will deal with the dinar. But we will still look around for the best spread. In Washington state, where the banking laws are somewhat austire, we have no Chase Banks for the consumer. May have to go to Vegas. No state income tax.
although rare, a few people have stated being able to purchase directly from a BofA branch..
